I used to watch it.... gets kinda boring after a while, especially with the old effects and not-so-scary plotlines... I guess that's what watching anime/... horror movies does to you...
Anybody (besides me) watching the Twilight Zone marathon?

Witness if you will, Mr Henry Bemis, a bookish little man whose passion is the printed page...

(no wonder we're all smokers and ex-smokers -- EVERYBODY had a cigarette dangling from their lips in every episode <g>)

Are you kidding? That brings back memories. When I was younger, those high tech special effects had me scared ****less.

I'm not watching the twilight zone marathon but I have all seasons/episodes plus an interview with Rod Serling. It's crazy to see the interview and the whole time there are cigarettes burning and smoke all in the room. I have about 20 more episodes to watch until I can finally say I've seen every episode. My parents always tell me how the show used to scare them. It doesn't scare me but I can see how back in the 60's it would have been a little scary to a kid considering the circumstances.

In short, I love that show.

Actually you're right - when I was YOUNGER haha. Now some of the plots don't even seem like they're scary at all... mostly moral...

It is truly amazing what they could accomplish with virtually zero effects and most stories taking place on only 1 or 2 sets.

The human imagination is truly a wonderful thing.

Cant recall the episode title, but the one where the woman is having surgery to correct her "deformity" and not until the last 15 seconds of the episode does the irony become apparent. Amazing.......

I love the Twilight Zone.

A Stop at Willoughby is my favorite episode. The end is kinda morbidly funny.

Great episode and one of my faves as well.

"Maple Street" is another. "I Sing the Body Electric" too.

"22" or "Room for one more, Honey" is an amazing example of how much plot can be conveyed just by the character speaking from a hospital bed. I mean, what did it cost to shoot that episode? A couple of hundred bucks?

It's always fun to spot the young stars on Twilight Zone. So many giants got their starts there. And many, many character actors that later appeared regularly on TV and the big screen.

I'd love to have been able to sit with Serling for coffee and a chat. God knows, he'd be one heavy vapor too. <g>

How about the episode with absolutely no dialogue until the last 15 seconds of the episode ("aliens" land in the attic of a "farmhouse" and terrorize woman)

That's it! I pulling out the DVD's and re-watching them this week!

>

That terrorized woman is Agnes Moorehead who later became Endora on "Bewitched".

Remember a young (but still bald) Telly Savalas as the mean Dad in; "Talking Tina"?
