Hi, i want to build a mod from scratch with two 510 connectors, a bit like the E-Hose by starbuzz, i was just wondering if 3.7v will go to both connectors or if half the voltage will go to each connector, if so will i need two 3.7v batteries? Also im a bit confused with the batteries i have to use as some people have told me its fine to use unprotected, but there wont be any circuitry in the mod so i should use protected batteries right? Thanks in advance:)

If you connect in parallel both will get the full voltage of the batter. Positive of battery to both center pins.

Edit - And yes, use protected for many reasons including avoiding over discharge. Make sure the batter can handle the additional current since a parallel connection will double the amps (not actually cut the resistance in half like many claim).

On this board you will frequently see the word "mod" referring to advanced power supply devices but the origin of the word is people either modifying or building their own. There is a section here for that. Get 2 more posts under your belt and you can post there. For now you can read more since I'm not sure what your knowledge entails. Battery Mods

Read a lot before you do your build.

I think the Silver bullet was the first or one of the first.

Big question is:

Why?

Please be VERY careful. These batteries contain more energy than you expect. They can seriously HURT you.

Before doing this you need to understand some basics about electricity. Or have someone you know and trust design the circuit for you.

A lot depends on how you wire it up. Be VERY careful and check the resistance to avoid problems.
