Hi everyone.

I bought my Vamo about a year ago but can't remember which version I got. How can I tell which is my version?

Also, is there a function a bit like keylock on a mobile phone where I can turn off the + and - buttons without turning off the whole mod? I sometimes find it is a bit of a niggle that occasionally I hit one of the adjustment buttons without realising and change the voltage when I don't mean to.

Thank you for any help you can give me. MarylinC

Greetings and welcome to the forum.

If your Vamo has lines around the body like in the picture below, it's a V3 (there's a Stainless Steel version of the V3 without the lines.)

Here's a Blog describing some of the differences between the various versions: Vamo V4 & V5 Variable Voltage/Wattage..Huh?? - Vivid Smoke Blog

I've got a V3, and on this version, there is no way of deactivating the up/down buttons, apart from turning it off completely.

Hold in the fire button when you are putting a battery in. Keep it held after the cap is screwed on tight and it should tell you which model you have. When i do this mine says 'KSD 3.0'.

I don't think the v3 was available a year ago. I suspect yours to be a v2 (No removable top cap, smooth body).
Pressing and holding the (-) button, the display will show your current voltage/wattage setting and after 3 sec the battery voltage will display, at approx 10 sec the display will show N01 or N02, release the (-) button. If the display showed N01 repeat the steps until it displays N02. The v3, v4, v5 do not display N01 or N02 due to a control board upgrade.
The buttons are what they are, No locking feature.
