Two weeks, first analog since. What's your story?

User PCtechnerd suggested I try an analog after a week of vaping. I stepped it up a notch and its been two weeks since I last had one.....LET'S TRY IT!

*Can't find a lighter....

Ever tried an analog since you started vaping? When? Whats your description of what it's like? Did Han shoot first?

LOL! They are disgusting, aren't they. After the first puff you start asking yourself "How in the did I ever smoke these things for so long!"

I just figured out that it'll be 100 days tomorrow since I've had a cigarette. Haven't tried one since I quit and don't really plan on it. I've read here quite often how disgusting it is to have one after vaping for a while.

8 hours into vaping I was forced to either go without nicotine for 12 hours or light up... nasty, dirt, made me gag.. I hated it.. but i had to have my nic craving lol the things we do right? After my juice came in which was friday, I have been analog free 2 full days and couldn't be happier!

Smoked over 25 years and then had not smoked in months. Got a cig, lit it up and was like holy hell that tastes nasty! I thought to myself - I used to love to smoke these things, do they really taste THAT NASTY!

Why, YES THEY DO!! After just 3 puffs (and forced myself to take the last one) I couldn't get that thing put out fast enough and then I had the taste/smell to deal with. I remember going in the house, washing my hands, brushing my teeth and realizing I could still smell the damn smoke on me.

Now that I've been off cigs more than a year....I'm not even tempted to try one as I know it will taste nasty and smell gross as hell! I'm DONE!

It's been 8 months analog free for me. I admire you being able to try, I'm too afraid. I was a smoker for 41 years and I don't want to ever go back, I'll stick with the e cig.

Warning.. I tried an analog about six months ago and stopped vaping and started smoking again. It took me six months to go back to vaping because I was having frustrating equipment problems. Don't try this if you still crave analogs from time to time, it will seriously derail you.

The thing with the PVs, is that now I have a choice of whether I want or don't want a cigarette.
B4 that-- there wasn't much of a choice, I choose to no longer smoke/fund tobacco... ever again.

I quit smoking and only vaped around a month ago. I didnt write down the date and to be honest I am not really sure. Funny though, when I tried nrt's I could tell you to the day how far along I was. Last week, I was out in town and my atty blew, and I broke down and bought a pack. The first few were really nasty. I smoked the whole pack, it took 3 days. To be honest, after the first couple, it started not tasting as bad.

From now on I will always check my bag to make sure my spare atty is actually in there before I go anywhere. I noticed during the pack, that vaping wasnt scratching the itch as good as before. I think I could have easily got derailed still be so new in my vaping.

I switched to vaping a few months ago. Tried an analog after a couple of weeks of vaping, it was nasty. A month later I tried again, just to make sure. I was wrong, it wasn't nasty; it was downright disgusting. I gave my last unopened packs away. I'm not going back to analogs, unless Big Brother decides to force me to start smoking again.

Got to agree, just having the PV available has cut my smoking of stinkies way back.
Looking forward to the day when I can give my lighters and ashtrays away. Just started vaping a few days ago and need to get some juice to make it more enjoyable than the cartridges I'm using now.

Changed my forum name, but this is still PCTechNerd! Just wanted to say that I'm glad my suggestion gave the point it was intended. It's one thing to crave analogs when you first start vaping, but when you try one again, and see how horrible it actually is, it only makes you want to stop the analogs that much more!! I'm close to my one year mark, and I can't even fathom smoking analogs again.

Its almost one month for me!!! Love it, my 5 k run went from 24 mins to 19, I feel like when i was smoking it was training with weights on lol!!!!!

Sorry to brake the thread here! I still enjoy smoking analogs.

The key is that I no longer HAVE to smoke. From time to time, I enjoy a smoke and most of the time I enjoy vaping. I have a choice and love it!

I had one a week after quitting. Well, I managed 2 drags. Going down, it was fine. Exhaling though, I felt like I was licking an ashtray. And the damn taste just wouldn't go away. That was enough for me. Gave the smoke away and scrubbed my mouth.

About 5 years ago I quit smoking for a year. The first one I smoked tasted better than any cigarette I had ever had. I haven't had a puff in 2 1/2 weeks. The last time I lit up, I only took 3 puffs. I was able to stop, that's good for me. I don't want to test myself too much. LOL!
