Two weeks later - Looking for new build and opinions

Heya folks!

It's been two weeks since i started vaping and i honestly love it. Never thought the transition would be so easy and cravings gone so fast (it was impossible with gums and patches).

Gathered some gear during my short vaping period, got some for testing and some was donated. (Cool Fire 1, MVP 2.0, few ego batteries and several different tanks - aero, nautilus, iclear 30b/)

Some rant first... (i have 0 complaints about vaping as it gives me exactly what i was looking for - ditch analogs and get rid of bad smell... hopefully the money saving part will tag along at some point)

- Cool Fire 1 while it's my first e-cig (and gift) it was awesome until i tried some other things. For some reason i feel like eGo batteries are performing way better with giving the freedom to set V so i get way more out of my juices. Also it started to look more and more like a toy to me :(

- MVP 2.0 is great device and does everything as said.. i like the performance but i don't like the box mod at all (and it's just too big in my hands...)

Tanks (clearos)... nothing but the bad luck since the day one... Iclear 30b/s and aero constantly leeking and i get burnt taste from nautilus only 2 days after replacing a fresh coil. I've spent quite a lot of money on replacing heads and quite a lot of juice wasted imo... i want to end this as soon as possible.

Friend that gave me the MVP for testing also suggested to try RBA style tank (he built few 1.6/7 ohm coils for me and gave some massive tank). I haven't touched any of my tanks since saturday morning... just "dripping" and changing cotton lol - LOVING IT heh

Given the recent experience i believe that dripping style suits me more and i would like to renew my gear.

This is my list so far and i would really appreciate opininos and suggestions;

*note* my budget is fairly limited and sadly i can't justify the cost of authentic stuff and giving more than 1/3 of my salary (adding shipping and tax it reaches 1/2 of it) for battery tube. I have no intention to start clone/authentic discussion but authentic stuff is way out of my budget range so i will be ordering from FastTech.

I'm by no means going "cloud chasing" mode and would like to stick to current 1.5 - 2.2 ohm setups
Fasttech cart

1. Nemesis (i love slick and clean look of it or i would appreciate any other similar and well built clone, a smaller one)
2. Quasar tank (hope it will work properly with single coil build)
3. Kick
4. pre-coiled wicks (from 1.4 - 2 ohm) 150 of them
+
Will be buying off the MVP 2.0 that i'm currently "testing" for home use (barely 2 months old for 35€)

Total Damage to my wallet around 70€ ( $90)

Thoughts?

*I have over 700 ml of juice (good part of it was given to me and saved a lot of money), 5x 18350 imr batt, ohm meter..

With that gear i should be golden at least 6-8 months!

Thanks in advance (and thanks for reading)

As to the Nautilus, I suspect you got a clone. If not and you have checked the security code at the Aspire website then your juice is to thick, your airflow is open to much or your voltage/wattage is to high. Or a combination of all three of those.

I've been using a Nautilus for 1.5+/- weeks with the same exact head that came on it, 1.6 Ohms, and no problems. No burnt taste. The only problem I had was it gurgling. This was caused by condensation and I had the airflow to closed.

The Cool Fire 1 uses Pulse Wave Modulation where it starts out giving 6 volts to the tank coil then turns off then back on repeatedly to average out to whatever voltage you have set. I have found you need to lower the voltage from what you would use on a battery that doesn't have this PWM. The eGos style batteries don't do that, as far as I know. I find most all my tanks Taste Better on eGo batteries. I have 2 Vamo V5 APVs and rarely use them now. I have ordered a Provari 2.5 which doesn't do that PWM to the head.

Good luck in your quest and stay off the cigarettes.

Close the airflow down. As the airflow get more open less juice is drawn into the head and coils. Even though your juice is 50/50 if it is a darker juice those tend to clog heads more causing less juice to make it to the coils.

I already did checking on Nautilus and it's authentic (max airflow tho and around 95% of my juices are 50/50 so i guess that should not be an issue)

Thanks for fast reply.

Any suggestions/opinions about my selected gear before i order? :)

I saw Tree of life mod selling there (which i like even more) so i was wondering if anyone bought it yet and if it's usable with kick?

Cheers

Have no suggestions or opinions as I have never used any of the items you list.

First of all you need to introduce me to your friend that is hooking you up with this gear. Must be nice :) In my experience all my tanks sucked, pro tank 2 mini, evods and a newer aspire bdc. My $14 IgoW blows all them outta the water or juice. It will work for days on the MVP or a full day on a spinner.

Sent from my slow sprint phone...

I'm new to this as well and loving it! Like you said the transition was much easier than expected.

I've been using a Joyetech eRoll and am 100% satisfied with it but I am looking for something a little more powerful for around the house. After doing a lot of research (reading this forum and watching many reviews on YouTube), I think I decided on the Vamo v5 with an Aspire Nautilus tank (About $65 for both). Seems like you can't go wrong with that combo!

Here's what I would suggest: Before you spend your budget on all that stuff, get a cheap dripping RDA and try it with your MVP to see if you like it. You can get an Igo-W, which is very similar in how it's setup, for about $11 US (or about 8€, if my math is correct). Then if you like it, you can add more gear, but if it's not your thing, you've wasted a lot less money.

I'd skip the pre-built coils and learn to build them yourself - you'll save a LOT of money and learn more about how your RDA works and how building your coil differently affects the vape. Then you'll be able to tailor your setup to your preferences. As long as you're careful to test everything and understand what your battery/device is capable of, it's safe and not very hard. The most difficult part is screwing the coil down, and you'll have to do that with the pre-built ones, too.

Finally, if you really like the MVP but not the box shape, you may be better off with a regulated mod in a tube shape, like a Vmax or a VAMO. Those are going to work the way your MVP does. With a mech and a kick, you can't change the voltage without opening it up and adjusting a dial on the chip.
