Hey folks,
Been vaping since Nov 25, 2012, I was previously a cigar smoker, (Backwoods Honey Berry, minimum 2 cigars daily, one before work, one during lunch. Actually, the cigar WAS lunch, in a way. Also, the occasional Trader Jack's when I had an hour or so to kill during off-hours.)

A co-worker turned me on to vaping, and I'm happy to say I've only had two cigars since the 25th. He taught me enough about getting started for me to order a kit for myself and one for the wife from Altsmoke.com, and the results are impressive to say the least.

I still get the craving for the occasional sit-down on the steps to enjoy a cigar, but it's subsiding. My wife has gone from averaging 2 packs Marlboro Red 100's a day to just today finishing a pack she started on the 25th. So, that's down to a pack a week for her. Not bad at all.

Our kits are the eGo starters from Altsmoke, and I should get some blank carto's and a fresh bottle of Tiramisu juice by mail today. We're hooked on that flavor, but we're looking to try others; the Amaretto from Highbrow Vapors is looking tasty, that might be the next purchase. We're both excited about at least curbing our smoking habits and eventually giving up analogs for good. Looking forward to being in on the community here and learning more.

All the kudos go to my work buddy. He was good enough to let me try some blank cartos and some sample juice he brought with him on the road, and it wasn't long before I was vaping more often than I was smoking. Oddly enough, another coworker had heard I was vaping and wanted to try it, so I gave him the URL for Altsmoke. I'd be willing to bet he'll have his own kit and I'll see him vaping away at the smoke pen on the next job. :D

Congrats to you and your wife, the learning curve can be scary for some. Taking the first steps will lead you to a better future.
So far learning the ropes for vaping has been kinda fun. More than likely, we'll put some of the money we save by vaping towards upgrades to batteries, new juices, etc. Hopefully we can avoid falling prey to Gear Acquisition Syndrome.

Welcome and congratulations to you and your spouse for making a better lifestyle choice. You can avoid acquisition syndrome by keeping what you have that is working for you while mentally noting the shortcomings. After this stage, you'll have a better idea of the features you need to keep you satisfied. Everything other than what you have looks great in the beginning. Without discovering the pros and cons of your current gear, you can spend a whole bunch of cash chasing something without really understanding what that something is.Good luck to you both!!!

Hi guys, dont fret about a thing, you will be vaping freaks in no time at all... welcome and congrats!
Already there! Can't seem to put my eGo down.....which is weird, because I didn't smoke cigars NEARLY as often as I'm vaping on this. Either it's the flavor (Tiramisu from Altsmoke) or just the convenience of not needing an ashtray/fumbling to find a lighter/going outside to smoke, or maybe I need to order higher nicotine dosage in that flavor. Not sure which, but we're like kids with new toys around here. I thought it was just me, but my wife has noticed she's having the same thing going on. I'll definitely need bigger bottles of that Tiramisu flavor, so I'm gonna order a 30ml in 24mg from Highbrow tomorrow. With any luck it'll be in before we run out, and hopefully that'll cut down on the frequency of hits. :D Anybody else run into this at first, not being able to quit constantly vaping? lol!
