UFS clear window and small configuration

I posted in the GG forum with mixed results so I wanted to ask the same over here. I have a UFS and just received the new top cap from COV. In Imeo's video, he removes the upper metal portion of the UFS (the one just above the clear window) and screws the top and new top cap onto the clear window. It makes for a smaller UFS that can be used with a regular size atty and drip tip.

My problem is that my top won't screw onto the clear window. Of the people who responded, a few say they have the same problem and at least 2 say there's works fine. I'm just asking anyone with a UFS if they can check to see of their top section will screw directly onto the clear window just as Imeo's does.

I have three clear windows (original and two spares) and my top cap screws on to all three without a problem.

Yep. That picture is my current configuration. A clear dual-coil with the new top cap @ 6v with your Butterscotch. I have to "feather" the button or it's just too hot. An awesome vape though. I received your shipping notice that the new clear window was on the way, so I'll let you know how everything works out. If my top doesn't screw onto this one either, I'll be at a loss since the problem will definitely be in my top and I don't think those are (or ever have been) available.

no UFS here, but dspin suggested i try the 1.5 dc carto at 6v on my ggts... i was skeptical at first, but it's freaking great once i found a suitable juice... it's all his fault!

Now i need UFS to complete things..

No luck here either. I have my original clear window and a spare that I tested with.

Just curious, might it be a difference between the first and second runs of the UFS? I have one from the first batch and I haven't had any luck. I've used my new top cap with xl dc carts and it works great but I'd love to try "mini-mode" with my 510 atties.

Dude, I don't think there is much of a difference between runs since 98% are from the 1st run. You can contact me and we can figure it out!

There is no difference between batches thedude but plastic wear off so you are unable to fit it right. If you had the steel window you would be ok.

IMHO - Nothing better than the steel window. Threads are better, looks better. I don't need to see how much juice is in it. Not trying to be smart here, just my 2 cents.

Hey Imeo, I tested it on the window my UFS came with and also on an unused one I bought as a spare (which I've not needed to use yet, thank god). I may just need to clean the threads on my top cap. I'll give that a try first and I'll work with Bruce if I still don't have any luck, I'm doing a cleaning tonight so I'll test it out after I give the top cap a thorough cleaning.
