I made a custom liquid at Mt Baker with cola and rootbeer mixed and it was really good BUT I can't get the taste out. I've washed and soaked everything and changed the head but it's still there. I have a cheapy vaporizer with a plastic tank and from what I've read some flavors just make themselves at home in the plastic tanks. I really love rootbeer so it's not the end of the world, I'm just glad it wasn't some nasty flavor I hate.

Gonna upgrade very, very soon to a nice mod and a couple PT2's so hopefully this won't be an issue after that.

PT2's are great clearomizers. They are glass of course, so they come clean of any flavor you vape in them provided you replace the coil as well. If I am switching incompatible flavors in mine, I just rewind a coil, and done. No lingering flavor. I have a few Iclears (30 and 30s) that I keep favorite juices in that I vape all the time. I save my PT's for other flavors, or really dark coil clogging juices.

You may not be able to get the flavor out. Cola and Rootbeer are both "tank cracker" flavors. That means there is an ingredient that has a chemical reaction with the plastic. You may notice that your tank looks a little foggy or hazy. (These flavors do not necessarily crack your tank straight away as the name sounds as it would) Common tank crackers are cola, rootbeer, cinnamon, citrus, cherry.

On the Mt Baker site, if you check the product description on your flavor choices - watch for this:

Yep, rootbeer has that "something" that leaves a taste behind. Even with soda guns, most reps will tell you that if you put root beer on a line, you may as well dedicate that line to rootbeer forever. I found out the hard way with homebrewing when I made a keg of rootbeer for my dad. That keg and the tap I used to serve it permiates any beer I run through it with that taste.
