Hi All,

We're off on our hols soon and I was wondering if anyone has had problems taking their e-cigs through Heathrow security. Would it be best to show security before putting it through the xray machine?

I've not been through Heathrow for a while but have gone through Gatwick, Luton and Birmingham airports without any problems. Just left them in either hand luggage or a coat pocket which then goes through the xray machine. Never been questioned.

My girlfriend on the other hand always gets her handbag checked. She must look dodgy!

Thanks for the reply Philip, it is Gatwick we're flying from not Heathrow (my mistake).

Did you take tones of carts with you or liquid and I presume that they were stashed in with the luggage.
