I was wondering if anyone has tried flying anywhere with their e-cigs? I was thinking they might not be easy to get through security, especially on international flights? I'm considering doing some travelling this summer and was wondering what to expect. Last time I flew domestically (at Christmas?) I couldn't even take the soda I'd bought in the airport vending machine through the security gate - lol

There is a great video review by Basilray {who's an ecf member}
addressing this very issue!
You can find Basilray in the members list here or go to YouTube - Broadcast Yourself
and search for his name and you'll find that very helpful video I'm referring to, among his reviews.
You can also call and ask him about any concerns you might have and he will help you
Live and in person Basilray!
He's a very nice guy and his reviews are the best!

I had no problem flying with them. I vaped in the Atlanta airport with no problem, just found a corner where there wasn't anyone around, security walked by and just looked at me and smiled. I figured if they didn't want me doing it, he would have told me not to.
I was sent through extra security coming back from Mexico and the inspector found my case and pulled it out and asked me what it was. I told him it was an electronic cigarette and he said "Ahhhhh, okay". No problems. I also vaped in the Cancun airport. No problems.

I haven't flown since I started vaping, but I would expect airport people to be familiar with the things people bring through the airport. After all, they see a cross section of people daily.

We are finally seeing TV ads for electronic cigarettes and that will educate the public as to what they are and how they work. I think we will begin to see a higher level of understanding as a result of publicity, especially as articles appear publicly that show test results to be positive.

Within the last 2 years, I have traveled to Paris France, Mexico, and the Bahamas and ive not had any issues when traveling with my ecig.

I had my ecigs in my carry on and my ejuice in a small baggy in which I carried on the flights.

Have fun on your travels if you decide to do so

Has anyone tried going through JFK airport in NY or in the Dominican Republic? I'm traveling in June and this has been my biggest worry since all the controversy here with e-Ciggs and Bloomberg being a **** about them. I really don't want to go a week smoking T-Ciggs or risk having my 501 taken from me.

I'm just glad there are so many success stories with vaping and traveling. I just recently quit analogs and I will be going on a cruise in 2 weeks. I was afraid that my current success would go down the toilet the moment they confiscated my PV! My only worry now is that something crazy will happen like both of my batteries or atties will die while I'm on the ship!

My wife and I flew to Los Angeles back in February. This was 2 weeks after we started vaping, so we had no idea what to expect. Not a single word was said by airport security. We put the PV's in the bin with the rest of our stuff running thru the scanners, and they didn't take a second look. I suspect that by now most of the security personnel have seen PV's firsthand and do not think anything of them.
