Interesting indeed. But we come up against the old problem - "Is this harmful or not?" I take the (wholly personal and not in any way a recommendation) view that trying new things is an important part of experiencing what it means to be human today. This can (and should) include new thoughts (if there is anything new under our sun). Ezra Pound had it right when he exhorted us to "Make it new!" Sadly he was IMHO wrong in other ways, but then - who isn't?

Does this description raise red flags over product safety? “Not really if they are just herbal extracts, Amanda Sanford of the U.K.’s Action on Smoking and Health told ABC News, adding, however, that it, like anything, “can be dangerous is not used properly.”

Many people have died from "Liquid herbal extracts"- extracts from plants are medicines- not harmless 'all natural' products. The body is an amazingly complex organism that depends on everything functioning according to genetic blueprints, and plant extracts alter the inner workings in ways we don't fully understand sometimes, and may (and infact has) prove to be dangerous for some folks. Caution is needed. (Not stating this product is dangerous, but we need I think to more fully investigate what these african herbals do to our biological systems
