Hello Vapers of the UK!

Can anybody recommend a UK retailer to buy a replacement KR808D-1 battery? I'm currently using V2 cigs but their branded batteries are a little on the dear side, especially when you factor in their one-size-fits-all shippings cost.

I have ordered a Riva 901 battery (and 901 - KR808D-1 thread adapter) from Liberty Flights for use at (and close to) home, but would like a replacement/spare standard sized battery that will fit in my PCC for when i'm out and about (I travel a fair bit with work!).

Any help appreciated.

Cheers. LB :vapor:

To be honest trying to track down a UK supplier of these batteries is a PITA
other than China/US where they're readily available.

With good reason, they're compatible with very little of the popular, reasonably priced
widgets available in the UK . . . battery run time leaves a lot to be desired as well.

You'd do far better to spend your money on a Ego/510 type kit and have a far better
vaping experience as well. :)

I've no intention to buy such a device for out-and-about vaping - for better or for worse, ciggalikes for me... hard to be stealthy sucking on Dr Who's sonic screwdriver! I'm not overly fussed on the vaping experience, as long as it satisfies my craving for analogues. I may well be going down that route for vaping indoors though.

Battery life is not great, but, it's a million (ok, slight exaggeration) times better than the Skycigs my mates are on! I get about 4-5 hours from my standard V2 battery - one of my friends gets around 10 mins from each skycig battery that takes him many hours to charge! I'm hoping my Riva 650mAh 901 will sort me out for indoor use, coupled with the 2.0 Ohm Boge cartomisers I already have.

Since posting this i've realised that, as I've already ordered a thread-adapter, that I can simply order a standard 901 battery from Liberty Flights. Job done.

Thanks for the info and offers folks, but i'm fairly well covered now.

When I put up the orginal post, I had only one 808 battery (the one that died). Luckily I had an Electric Zebra freebie disposable back-up that kept me going until the next morning.

I now have:
My replacement KR808 V2 battery,
A DSE 901 battery,
A DSE 901 USB pass-through,
A 901-808 thread adapter,
And (best of all) a Riva 901 650mAh battery (which, IMO, should be called a Riva 808 as it has the air-holes and didn't need an adapter),
Plus loads of V2 Kanger 808 cartos, some LR Boge 808 cartos, loads of juice and, err, some 510 (got a 901-510 thread-adapter too) CE2 Clearomizers which, after trying the third one in the pack, am about to throw in the bin. It's shocking how something so not fit for purpose can be sold as they are!

Can anyone recommend any clearomizers that actually work? Or a Vision Ego style carto for a Riva 901? Can't seem to find one, posted the request elsewhere but so far has come up blank!

A Liberty Flights order was dispatched to me this morning too... oh well, maybe next order.

The Riva already has the Ego style big outer thread thing on it. Would I still need the Ego adapter? The more I read about the Vision Clearos the more i'm going off them anyway... thinking a tank/carto combo might be the way to go. Any advice regarding this?

The Riva you bought has a 901 thread, the vision egos an ego 510 thread, so yes you will need an adapter. Out of interest what made you go for the 901 Riva rather than a 510?

I've used a a DCT tank (tank with Dual coil cartomiser) & found it kept the carto too cool so got very little throat hit. But that could just be me :)

I went for the 901 cos it had a kr808 thread essentially. I got into vaping with a V2 mini and really like their Kanger cartos which I have lots of. Quite cheap when 40+ are bought at once. Love their Red flavour too. So, when I bought the Riva I got a battery only as I had the cartos and charger already. I got a friend onto Rivas too but recommended he got the 510 version cos he got started with sky cig, which are 510, so he could use his existing cartos. He loves it by the way.

I am aware that the Ego is 510 fitting, and that I would need an adapter, but was wondering if the 510 adapter I already have would do the job with a tank.

Yes it will Buxton if it's a 901 to 501, although if you wanted to use a plinth/thread cover on the
outer set of the Ego threads, to tidy up the appearance . . . it'll look a little odd as your tank will
sit that bit higher using an adapter.

Vision Stardust also come in 808 threads and it is actually made for the Riva. It is exactly the same as the 510 one, just the inner threads are for the 808.
