I have some juices where the flavor just will not go away no matter what I choose to clean the tank while switching flavors while others are overcome by the new flavor immediately. I seen a video for a Ultra Sonic cleaner and was pretty interested in it so I googled Ultra Sonic cleaners and low and behold it was simply a re-branded cleaner plus double the cost. Was wondering if anyone uses one and if it does indeed work at removing those strong residual flavors. If so what was their brand of choice?

I purchased one from ebay about a week ago. I use it every day. If you have some strong flavors that are hard to get out, put in a drop of dish soap and run it a few times.

I tried very high proof vodka and grain over night with little results but what I intend to use the cleaner on are acrylic tanks that I trust taking out and about with me and not worry about it breaking or even caring much if it does. I spend a lot of time being active out doors. Wouldn't say its chemicals but some flavors and aromas regardless of how natural just linger more than others.

I just usually have my atty bombarded from orbit by high yield fusion bombs. Gets rid of those unwanted flavors faster than you can grow a third eyeball.

Can I find those at my local B&M? Will they cost more if marketed for e-cigs?

Orbital bombs or ultra sonic cleaners? xD You can find the cleaners at places like Bed Bath & Beyond. I just ordered mine from eBay. They're usually $25 - $50, depending on which one you get. I paid $29.99 for mine with free shipping and it works great. Money well spent.

I quit using plastics/acrylics primarily because of the chemical interaction with certain flavor compounds... if it can crack, discolor, or dissolve the plastic... odds are there's chemical things going on inside I don't want to be inhaling.

There's very little "natural" ingredients in e-juice flavorings. They are mostly food grade artificial flavoring agents derived from complex chemical concoctions that don't come from anything naturally produced in nature.

Good point. I wasn't looking at it that way. I was just looking at it like for say a clove of garlic is natural but pretty strong and can have an aroma thats hard to remove but that aroma isn't made up of complex chemicals. But the fact that there's very little natural ingredients made me think twice about that in the case of e-liquid in particular.

I thought about getting high yield fusion bombs or an ultra sonic cleaner. For both, the reviews on the lower cost models do not seem favorable, for the most part.

When I was a tank user, I used

What kind of tank? If it's a plastic tank, no amount of cleaning may remove the flavor.

Yeah that's just the thing about plastics. No matter how good they are. Once a strong flavor impregnates the surface of the plastic, its there to stay.

Only a few options to deal with it.

- Get more tanks and dedicate them to the flavor or to extremely similar flavor profiles, or use stainless steel or glass tanks.

Another thing to keep in mind is that O rings will also absorb flavors and retain them as well.

EDIT:

Anyway, I forgot about the ultrasonic cleaners. I'm definitely in the market for one despite what I just wrote, probably one of the kind that goes 35W to 50W.

What most guys seem to do who use them is fill them with water, add a little vodka and let them run for a while. Considering that they can be had for under $50, I figure why the hell not?

At worst I'll find it doesn't do a better job than I can manually, but it'll be as effortless as pouring liquids into the tank, dropping parts into it and hitting a button....

....and I'm all about making my life easier.
