Im now off to the shopping center.. scanning everything that will be able to hold those giant Ultrafires

My question is:

Quite tricky, that is my personal favorite battery.
You will have to custom make your mods for that as I did.
Not all magnums will fit it, so you have to know what you are buying because you might end with a lot of flashlights you really don't want.

Boxes?, no, there are no battery boxes that will fit that monster.
I have several threads that show options for the 18650 just go to my profile and to list my threads, you will find it there.

My favorite is on the thread called "Nice looking box MOD", but there are others.

Good luck

DealExtreme: $1.88 UltraFire 2*18650/4*CR123A Battery Protective Case (2-Pack) Another modder used this for a case. I have since order 2 and they should be here soon.

I am looking for a more finished look than a translucid project box.. but thank for the idea Stevo..

I'll keep looking around.. and will probably end up doing what SmokinScott said..

but so far.. the best idea for what i was looking for would be the warp "Nice looking box MOD" usb box.. but where to find it warp ? CrapShack.. DX ? (hope its not DX, it took 3 weeks to get the batteries) 8-o

working on it right now actually...had it working but the epoxy i was using gave out.

I have to find something suitable to hold the circuit board to the wall of the flashlight maddog used, and I will post it when its finished.

I wonder if you can buy liquid solidifying plastic at a hobby shop, or if rubber cement is strong enough...

If they're 18 mm diameter and you want a single battery mod, consider using ¾" copper pipe with end caps. The pipe can carry the ground circuit with no wires.

Good idea about the copper pipe.. I think I go some in my toolbox .. so far, I only found some altoide mints metal casing.. trying hard to no-buy a 20$ flashlights, I already bought 5 small flashlights and would like to go for any different look... like my last mod for exemple

Using the wall of the montecristo and a spring in the bottom, i can use it for my negative connectivity

I made a flashlightsaber hilt with 1x 18650 2600mAh.. but I need to keep on modding.. having too much fun!

Warp used a "LED Flashlight + Emergency USB Charger" to make one and I need to order some stuff at DX anyway so I may try it too.

Any DealExtreme suggestion that my red 18650 will fit before I place my order would be appreciated.. since it take 3 weeks+ to get here.

thank you guys for the previous suggestion

Besides flashlights and the USB charger I modded, I have yet to see anything more that will fit a 18650.

You should take a look here for faster shipping:

Battery & Charger - Flashlights, Batteries and more - Quality China Goods

They also have a lot of junk to mod. :D

Fast shipping , less selection:

I managed to fit one in Maddogs Magnum mod. I had to remove the rubber end and switch on the back of the magnum and placed 2 washers for the ground. This battery is just the right power. 6V gave me too much of a burnt taste and the smaller single 3.6v 880 mah wasn't enough power.

Do you remember who did the mod with this box? I've got one and a 3000mAH ultrafire. I'm not sure how I want to set it up yet though. It looks like if I go with a 17670 instead I can fit my PCC charger board that I'm not using anymore. With the 18650 it just won't fit. I'm curious where you would ideally fit the rca jack, my guess is on the join seam isnt a good idea even if it always stays closed.
