Is this a real battery? It looks just like the 18650 ultrafire brc 3000mAh, but I cant find much info on them. I just want to make sure there not fake.

Probably fake. I tend to consult the manufacturers about products, and though I haven't seen these before I'm inclined to believe that like a 3600 mAh version that's also been floating around, this too is not an Ultrafire battery. There's even more, including 10440s, alleged IMR cells, and various ICR batteries across different sizes. Fake *****fire batteries are big business. Not that these are the best places for information, but if you don't see a battery claimed to be manufactured by a certain supplier on that manufacturer's product site, it's probably not real. Email them and/ or check the various boards for certainty.

So I took the wrapper of of these batteries, and all I can say is thank god that the video about fake mod batteries was posted yesterday, otherwise I would have had no idea of what I was looking for. There was no protection curcit, no semi cunductor, nothing. These were UNPROTECTED batteries, desguised as protected. I am now switching to the AW brand, and only be buying from reputable AW suppliers. I will post pic shortly, but it has scared the living daylights out of me. If I would have recieved these batteries a week ago, I would have used them, and there is a good chance I would have done something to cause them to "blow up", thinking they were protected. Thanks for the video, and make sure you arm yourself with knoweldge if you are going to buy batteries that are user replaceable in a mod.
