So I just received my test eGo-T with a CE4 and some 18mg tobacco juice from SmokeTech.

It charged up without issues, the cart was easy to fill, made sure nothing got down in the hole.

I tried it out after I let the cart sit for about an hour (battery was charging) and then I tried it with a full battery.

WOW! YIKES! That was a throat hit from hell!

A few hits later it started to settle down a bit but it is still kind of harsh.

So is it the juice? 50/50 I believe it was. Do I need less PG and more VG?

I know i need to try out more juices and the steeping thing but I need to quit smoking analogs like yesterday due to insurance surcharges for smoking.

Oh, and the 18mg is a bit much I believe, i feel like I am floating LOL!

I like the eGo I just hope the hits get better than that.

*EDIT: Just wanted to say that I ordered from SmokeTech on Saturday (Monday was a federal holiday) and I received my stuff today. From Florida to Northern Nevada. Perty darn quick service!

If you're floating you may want to get a 12 mg. If you've blown out the clearo (just a tip for the future to blow hard through the clearo ont a tissue before you fill it with anything) and after a day or two find you're hacking a lot when inhaling, you may also need to reduce the PG as it has that "heavy lung/hard cough when taking a drag" effect on some people. Congratulations though - you're moving along nicely! If you were using a cartomizer before and a small battery, that will mute the flavor considerably so take that into account too that maybe the juice doesn't taste as good as it used to. :)

I think most of the TH you are experiencing is from the 18mg nicotine content. 50/50 PG/VG is not a big contributor. Also, tobacco flavors can be a bit harsh just on their own. For now, try taking shorter drags. That should allow you to knock down the TH drastically and the ammount of nic you are getting.

Damn, I knew I should have blown out the clearos before I filled them LOL! 'Learning Experience'

I am going to drop to 12 or 11 nicotine, I have to order more clearos now and juice too. I am going down to Vegas in 2 weeks and I plan on going by that brick and mortar store to check out their juices. With I could get a good 5 or 10 pack of test juices.

Can you clean out these CE4s?

If you're using a clearomizer, it's more likely the harshness is from it now wicking right. TH is not supposed to hurt your throat, it's supposed to be a pleasant experience. I would suggest you try cartomizers until you're more familiar with vaping. Clearomizers have more of a learning curve, and you almost always have to fool around with them to get them to work right.

Happy vaping!

Yep there is a learning curve! I was used to cartomizers and got a vision ego clearomizer but kept have a problem with liquid getting down the airhole and winding up on my battery terminal. Finally figured how I was dragging too hard and once I started to draw really light no more leaking! YAY! Cause I really like clearomizers. Plus all I used was automatic batteries and wasn't used to manual until I got a Vision Spinner. I will NEVER go back to automatic again! LOL

Has anyone tried the Version 3 of the Vision Ego Clearomizers here? I would like some input cause the one I ordered is the Version 2 and was thinking of upgrading.
