Edit; Then there's mechs that have a sliding tube rather than a fire button. I wonder if this control head somehow overrides the mech fire button, wouldn't make any sense otherwise, but i'm no expert on electronics.

I couldn't image too many people wanting this item, but who knows? It's not like Vamo is creating them from scratch, it looks like a normal Vamo control head with a special adapter at the bottom.

Regards
Glenn

Seems pretty silly to me... I certainly can't imagine many people that buy a mech with the intention of turning into a Vamo... :)

But if someone already had a mech, and for whatever reason decided they wanted a device with the electronics yet didn't want buy a whole new....you're right, it does seem kind of silly.

Excuse me but I don't get it. Throw one of these on your mech and have two fire buttons to press?

Hope you press the mech's button first.

Vamo 2S Variable Volt/Watt Control Head for Mechanical Mods

Vamo 5S Variable Volt/Watt Control Head for Mechanical Mods

Vamo 3S Variable Volt/Watt Control Head for Mechanical Mods

Vamo 4S Variable Volt/Watt Control Head for Mechanical Mods

Is there something I'm not seeing here?
I wonder if you could use just plain mechanical battery tubes to make a Vamo APV hybrid

but yeah...how will you get the mechanical to fire then the Vamo to fire....battery tube would have to be on all the time

something like this, always on, with the Vamo on top
$19.64 JM Mechanical Mod Kit - with 18350&18500 tubes at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

or this
$11.59 Mechanical Mod / E-Cigarette Battery Compartment at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Plenty of plain jane mechanicals...
Found 199 hybrid mod tube at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The 510 connector on the bottom is enough to make me stay far, far away from this item, though the spare parts idea isnt bad... a control board, display window, some buttons and a top-head for $23 not bad. Wondering though if the control board is different in either firmware or mechanically at the battery positive post to allow for its mech-510 connection.. Think Ill pass altogether.

Unless it is used with it's intended "mech" base that the original is sold with, then it would have to be modified to work like the "fire" button on the Vamo add-on is only to turn the device on or off. You would fire it with your mech fire button, and can adjust the V/W with the Vamo adjustment buttons. You would probably have to hit the fire button on the mech to be able to turn the Vamo part on, but other than that it is only the mech fire button that would be used.
