Sorry to dig this one up from the depths, but I was wondering about the thicker wire= lower resistance.

Wouldn't a thicker wire last longer?

I just got an i06, it was lovely, but the coil blackened pretty quick, after one day it already looks disgusting(black all over and sludgy) It started to get a bit of an off taste too, so I'll be cleaning it on the weekend. IKVs so far seem ok, except the i06 thread, all the plating came off where it contacts the threads in my ecig:\
Also, 7mm vs 6mm whats the difference? How do I tell which one I have? I got a 510 1.8 but it's a bit too cool for my tastes on my precise.

Re:cisco vs joye, I find my ciscos to have many more wraps, much more evenly spaced too, but the atty hole is tiny. I'm still having trouble picking which atty I like the best, probably because I'm always comparing new to older.

Do you have any suggestions on Canadian Cisco vendors, Happy vaper wants 12.99 for one, vs 8.99 for a IKV from maple leaf vapes.

I didn't say a thicker wire = lower resistance. I stated a thicker wire provides less resistance (to current flow) in other words more current going to the coil, thus not stressing the battery as much even though the battery can handle it. A thicker wire will provide for more wraps (greater surface area) compared to a thinner wire, the atty will last longer, but the coil will require slightly more time to heat up. With my vaping style that is not a problem. Once the coil is heated up, it will vape like a freight train.

There is a lot that goes on in an atty outside the wire, that's why vendors keep their cards close to their chess. At the end of the day it is what works for you.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...stance-306-atomizers-joye-ikenvape-cisco.html Check the comments from both Noiz and I. Two objective reviews coming to the same conclusion wrt vaping preference. Loss of flavour due to heat, whilst a gain in heat was more important than flavour. The atties were a tie... but each top performers dependent on what the vaper was looking for. One size does not fit all.
