Unexpected Benefits Shortly After Swapping Smokes for Vaping

Now that you mention it, my hair feels thicker now. I also no longer feel that desperate need to nap at 3pm. I never have time for a nap anyway, but I would feel so tired every afternoon...hasn't happened lately.

Most people don't realize, even tho cigarettes are technically a stimulant, its a quick burst stimulant and smoking itself will suck the physical energy right out of you! When I quit smoking analogs, the increase in energy amazed me so much that I vowed to try my luck with a gym membership (being able to actually breathe makes this a much nicer venture!). 7 months later I had lost 80 lbs, and can run 3 miles in 30 mins now whereas before walking the dog was a hassle! To me this was the greatest benefit! Tho all of the rest (especially being able to taste food as an aspiring chef) are awesome benefits as well

For me:

1) Increased engery
2) Decreased .....ing from the wife about how I smell and taste
3) Increased lung capacity
4) Increased taste and smell

I am still waiting for #5 though, decreased spending. I suppose it's because I have been buying all this stuff (APV, batteries, chargers, tanks, liquids, cartos, PPCs, etc.) to get started

It will happen. Just take what you would normally spend on the cigs and apply it to vape gear instead, or ejuices. You will be thrilled to see how much you can get with what you used to spend on smokes. It may take a few months but the excitement does turn to a smaller roar as you ease into your new lifestyle.

Good luck.
:)

Everything seems tone going pretty good on this side of the woods but only thing is that even though I brush my teeth 2x a day they seem to be getting yellower....and I've tried different juices to try and verify the problem...any one else have this happen to them?

I've noticed my teeth getting whiter, but I brush with a 50/50 peroxide/water plus baking soda, so my teeth never were as yellow from smoking as they could have been. I've also noticed that my teeth feel much cleaner in the morning than they used to after a night of sleep. That's another thing...sleep...I sleep like a baby now. I think I might have been experiencing some apnea toward the end of my smoking days. Glad that's over.

WOW!!! Congratulations! That's so fantastic. 80 pounds. I'm so happy for you. That's a complete lifestyle change.

I'm not sure if quitting has made me oh so pretty or anything like that. Perhaps I am all aglow, with sexy nails, pearly white teeth, and luscious hair; who knows.

I do keep getting random erections in inappropriate places however. No joke guys, but the last one lasted for about 3/4 of an hour with no fantasizing or physical input from me. Frankly, I'll be glad when I have a little more control over that.

Well, I guess that new found blood flow had to go somewhere! LOL :toast:

My wife and a friend both said the same thing about my fart. It's as if there's a dead body in my stomach. 2 months into vaping now and for the last 4 weeks my fart barely smell and i barely fart anymore. Same diet as always.

That was very unexpected haha

TMI?

Breathing has been my biggest benefit. I was working outside in December in a secluded area and got a shortness of breath that I had never experienced before, couldn't even stand up. My doctor told me a few years ago that I had copd and I needed to quit, but after over 40 years that is just talk. When you can't get enough air into your lungs to stand up, that calls for action. Quit smoking and started vaping the next day and not looking back.

Been vaping for about 8 months now and have noticed most of these improvements, too. No more dry mouth. Hair grows faster and skin is clearer. Breathing way better. More energy. If I'm around analogs, I have a serious allergic reaction where my eyes water profusely and puff up along with terrible sinus symptoms. I totally get what nonsmokers where talking about now :D. I've also noticed another benefit. I save a ton of $$$$$$$$$$. I smoked for 20 years and will never go back to that life. It has also inspired me to make other changes in my life. I am eating "smarter" and more aware of what I put in my body. I did cough up a little gunk the first couple weeks but now it is just every now and then. Our bodies are getting rid of the poison and trying to heal. Still need caffeine tho:(

I consider myself to be mature enough to not encourage these somewhat juvenile attempts at humor, but hey,

Awww hey man, I'll admit that I am a fan of puerile humour; in this case I was telling the truth though. I had 'one' whilst filling the car up with petrol the other day!
