I vaped unflavored for a good six months straight...no problems with it at all. I recently decided to learn how to DIY (more than just making unflavored and menthol mixes) and now I'm playing with flavors just for something different.

There are quite a few folks here who also vape unflavored. Give it a try!

Absolutely. Half my vaping is done with unflavored. Get good quality nic base and there shouldn't be any taste to it other than some slight sweetness if it is high in VG. It's all I can vape first thing in the morning, after meals and right before bed. Another bonus, besides the fact that it costs less, is that you can get a ridiculously long time out of a coil. I haven't changed the coil in my unflavored tank for 2 months and it's still hitting like new.

Here is 500ml (over 16x what you bought for $9) for only $21. It's 24mg so you may need to cut it down with PG and/or VG. There really is no reason to pay super premium prices for unflavored nic. Lots of other options, including 100mg at well under half the price I mentioned, but 24mg is very safe and easy to work with (so is 100mg...).

Try a few different places to see which has the best tasting base and nicotine TO YOU. You can get a free 15 ML sample from Nude Nicotine here:Nicotine Sample Request - Nude Nicotine
You just pay postage. If you check out the DIY forum you can get other suggestions for many companies.(Velvet Cloud, Wizard Labs, etc.) Try a few before you go for a big jug!

I and many people here use the eJuiceMeUp Calculator:

eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator

It's free and easy to use. A hint... if you buy 100mg juice, then the percentage of that nic concentrate that you include in your mix is equal to the mg sgtrength of the final product.

For example, if you want 12mg, you add 12% of the 100mg concentrate. If you make 100ml of final juice, 12% is 12ml. So each ml of concentrate then equals one milligram strength when mixing to 100ml of final product. Even if you use a calculator, it makes it easy to do a mental reality check.

On the juice source... I think MyFreedomSmokes.com has about the cheapest nic concentrate that is frequently talked about and reviewed here. They charge $50/liter of 100mg concentrate. From time to time they sell it for $40 on special and I picked up a liter the last time they did that. I've seen nic as high as $100 for the same one liter/100mg concentrate. I have only bought mine from MFS. I was happy with it and I figured ignorance is bliss :D

There are some huge threads here comparing various nics. Seems to be a very personal choice, so if you are picky, it might pay to order some small or sample sizes of a few different vendors to see if a "premium price" nic is worth it.

I figured my cost, based on $50/liter, at something like 2 cents to 2.5 cents per milliliter, factoring in MFS's price on PG/VG. That's about $0.60 to $0.75 for a 30 ml bottle. Even with $100/liter nic that is less than $1.50/oz or 30ml.

You can try unflavored in small sizes at Mt. Baker in the nic level and PG/VG ratio of your choice. I think 15 ml sizes dropped a dollar to only $3.99. If you like it you can then reorder in 236 ml sizes at $29.99. Sure there are cheaper options, but this can be pre-mixed to the nic level and PG/VG ratio you use and for many people that's worth the convenience versus cost.

Nic can vary from pretty much tasteless to having a significant "pepper" bite to it, so as always - sample before you lay in for large sizes at any place.

I just switched today to doing this. I ordered from Myfreedomsmokes. $50 for 1L 100mg/ml nicotine with 100% vg and 1L of VG for $16.95. Got a couple syringes as well.
Mixed it to about 4mg nicotine strength for my Reo. Slight peppery taste, nothing overpowering. Just surprisingly good. I like this. Plus I got an email last night they have a 17% discount code for a sale they're running now. After I ordered haha
