Unflavored VG Viscosity

I have 48mg VG. I want to make 24mg unflavored niquid. I understand that I can cut it in half with 0mg VG, but it is too thick for cartomizers. Anyone recommend just pure water or should I use Everclear? And what percentages? I'm learning and want to get unflavored right before I start putzing around with flavors.

PG is a no go for me.

e.g for 10ml of 24mg

5ml of 48mg + 3 to 3.5ml VG + 1.5 or 2ml distilled H20 = 24mg of liquid with the viscosity of PG liquids. 1.5/2 = 15 to 20%. I dilute my VG by 20%
