And you've accomplished the impossible... I've awarded a like.
The equation converges on pi. Each time the summation is calculated with increasing values of n, the result adds more decimal places. The trailing decimal places are changeable, but as more decimal places result, the preceding decimal places lock in to a constant value, thus the more iterations of n calculated, the more decimal places result and the closer to the actual irrational value of pi the result becomes.
There are other ways to achieve the convergence on pi as well. All rely on summations of infinite series. Many are trigonometric, but I don't like these since trigonometry gives me a headache.
