Unholy Trinity

The overseer must be above reproach as God's steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict. For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain (Titus 1:7-11).Unholy Trinity

The only "Unholy Trinity" that I know of is...

Satan
The anti-christ
and the false prophet.

Note that there are 3 total and 1 of each.

The article speaks of and has pictures of more than 3 preachers.

Did Jesus not say "Love thy enemy"?

As far as I'm concerned, this is America and people have the right to speak their minds however, instead of "bashing" others, the pastor (author of the article) might want to think about praying for those individuals he feels are twisting the word of God around for their own fund raising efforts.

Yes I watch those channels and do see what is going on and yes at times it baffles me how much fund raising is going on, However, we are all accountable to God come judgement day and only he is the judge. I personally would rather spend my energy and time spreading and preaching the word of God and focus on my Christian walk and my relationship with God than rather take the time to write an article about my personal beliefs and opinions on tv evangelists that, believe it or not, many have turned to God whereas if it were not for them, only God knows where these people would be.

From my own personal experience, I was saved and turned to God after being heavliy influenced by TV evangelists. My marriage was saved because of the so called tv evangelists and now, I am strong in faith with God, have a rock hard solid marriage and am dedicated to my church and the music ministry...all without giving a penny to the so called "fund raisers".

There will always be 2 or more sides to a story. I am sure my testimony is only one of perhaps millions that have yet to be told thanks to the TV stations and the preachers they broadcast.

For what it is worth, we should respect the office that they hold and if anyone is in disagreement with them and what they do, pray for them.

I think God gives each one of His children wisdom to discern truth. If the words of an evangelist or preacher don't line up with the Bible, then it should be discarded.

I do believe God wants to bless us, but we don't have to "purchase" it. He does it because He is our Father and loves us. He knows the desires of our hearts and I think it brings Him great joy to supply us with not only what we need, but some of our desires too. Of course, He also knows some of the things we desire are not good for us and does not give us those things. He's not a genie we can rub, and, whish, our wish is granted. His wisdom is impossible to fathom.

We are admonished, among other things, to clothe and feed the poor, to show compassion for those that are going through trials and to be hospitable to those that come to our homes. We are to love one another and He doesn't make an exception even if we feel we have been wronged by someone. Jesus is the Perfect Example of loving people that have wronged you. That is the example we are to follow.

God is the judge because He is righteous and cannot be swayed from the truth. His judgment is true. Anytime I judge someone, a verse of the Bible comes to mind; it tells me to take the log out of my own eye before I worry about the splinter in my brother's eye. It tells me that he that is without sin should cast the first stone. I've never been able to cast the first stone at anyone.

God knows me too well!

Amen sister. It just kills me that there are ministries out there that are being criticized by others. it just so happens that these ministries are the BIG ones that many people are exposed to on television, the internet etc. Don't people see all the GOOD that they have done and are doing? Let's also be honest about something, for these ministries to continue their good works, it cost money and the only way they can continue doing what they are doing is to solicit funds from viewers and attendees. Doesn't the Bible say "you have not because you ask not?

It is an unfortunate truth that there are many people that just don't have the understanding that you reap what you sew For them to give a dime you have to twist their arms.

Although I have not donated anything to any of the tv ministries to date, I do tithe obidiently to my local church and never question where the money goes.

I believe what it boils down to is us being accountable to God and his commandments.

When the day comes that the Spirit moves me to give to DayStar, TBN, Joel Osteen, TD Jakes, Creflo Dollar etc, I will because I am being led by the Sprit. Till then, I personally believe that they are doing good works and have changed many people's lives and if they need financial support, they should have the freedom to ask for it.

I would like to share a story of a man of God with you. His name was George Mueller. This is not the only man of God to have done this, but he is a good example...

George Mueller has proved to the world the truth of (Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.)
and he will always be remembered as the man who got things from God. His testimony is an inspiration to Christians everywhere. Three weeks after his marriage, he and his wife decided to depend on God alone to supply
their needs--never again to approach people about them. His salary was made up of pew-rents. Now he felt led to relinquish this completely. Wishing that all support be spontaneous, he put a box in the chapel for his needs; determining never to run into debt, and to get his needs
supplied only by requests to God Himself. This was October, 1830. When he died, in March 1898, 68 years later, he had obtained from God more than any one else who ever lived--seven and a half million dollars...

Wow, AMEN!! that is truly inspirational. I also am a believer that God does supply all my needs. I give him thanks for everything that I have and will have. I have learned that I always have to do things in his strength and not by my own.

Back in those days, 7 1/2 million bucks is ALOT of cash. He is truly a man of faith. Thanks for the link.

Merry Christmas.
