I thought this was funny so I am posting it.

I went to one of the tobacco places near me looking to see if they had any Swedish snus. He informed me they had Camel snus, and that was the only one available. I mentioned there were hundreds of different kinds and he said, "No, there are only these two, they don't make any others".

So then I asked if he had any e-cigs and he said yes and pointed me to his Smoke-51 kits. I asked about other brands and he said, "They stopped making the other kinds, they were too messy, this is the only one they make now" I said no, what about other brands and he said, "There are no other brands, just this one."

His conviction was too strong to be just brand loyal, I think he actually thinks what he said is true.

Anyway, had to share.

I live in northeast PA, and besides a small kiosk in a local mall, e-cig retail is non-existent. When I first heard of the whole e-cig phenomena over the web, I called literally EVERY local tobacco and smoke shop in the lehigh Valley and not only did not one carry e-cigs, only one shop had even heard of them. I guess tobacco and smoke shops, at least where I live, aren't the place to go for anything e-cig. A few of them did however stock the larger version(tabletop) vaporizers.

I know, it's weird. Back a couple months ago when I was forced to buy a Smoke-51 from a Mall Kiosk (ok forced because I was on travel and my atty died and I didn't have a spare and needed an e-cig now type of forced), when I asked the Smoke-51 guy about some of the things we know here like different juices, brands, types of e-cig, he was clueless. He honestly did not realize there was a variety and a whole sub-culture out there (he was interested though so I know he wasn't just biased).

If our own people (smoker shops, e-cig sellers, etc.) aren't as informed as we are, how can we expect the FDA to be LOL
