Hi, My names Christian and I'm fairly new to the forums. Im 18 from St. John's NL and ive recently come across a problem with tissue on the roof of my mouth, back of my throat, and a mucus issue.

Now before i get started I like to believe i live a healthy lifestyle. And I'm very familiar with how poor hydration can affect your respiratory system while vaping. And dont worry I'm pro vaping. I go to a store which follows the ECTA of Canada meaning all products are tested to be sold in the store (mostly harmful products that cause things like popcorn lung) and their tested every year. However there is still ingredients that are found in natural organic foods that can cause extremely minor, and depending on alergies and other influencing factors severe problems. Today the main ingredient im talking about is citric acid (CA).

About a week ago i picked up "The Shocker" by Cosmic Fog. A very pineappley based flavour and dont get me wrong its enjoyable but as we know pineapples contain alot of citric acid. And if you've ever eaten alot of pineapple you know that it leaves this slight sting and tingling feeling on your tounge. This is the affect of citric acid and sometimes you can feel this in your throat. Its as we said an acid which can on its own and with support of other enzymes digest and dissolve alot of things. Like carbon based tissue. That is in all these areas ive said in this thread.
What im hypothesising is that when this juice is inhaled probably still has these digestive properties and can irritate (or do damage to) the lining and walls of the lungs throat and so on. The roof of my mouth has been feeling slightly caliced and has in fact been peeling like caliced hands and my throat had started developing tonsil stones and my cardiac performance was lowered greatly mainly because I've had to stop breathing due to the abnormal amount of mucus building up in my throat. I took a break from the juice and swapped it out for this incredible new blend I've been blissing out on called "Summer Paw" by Kloud Panda. With pretty much the same PG and VG. And this stopped happening. And all these strange symptoms dissipated over night. However im really hoping that it hasn't killed cells and help development of scar tissue in the lungs or even bronchi.

Open to all ideas and opinions feedback helps.

Any one have any ideas?
Article to support theory (skip the tooth erosion partnunless your really interested to get to the properties)

It sounds to me like you are sensitive to certain flavorings, which might include orange, lime, lemon, etc. It may be pineapple in general or just certain flavoring brands. I get some irritation from citrus flavors, so I rarely use them. Many of us have found certain liquids or flavorings cause irritation, and simply avoid them.

Those are some pretty extreme symptoms. You may want to look at your symptoms to see if there may be other factors. I would hope you stopped vaping when you had to stop breathing. I'm not sure how tonsil stones clear up overnight, based on this explanation - Tonsil Stones: Causes, Removal & Prevention

Yeah i was looking atount the forums and found alot of stuff out last night. I may have went over board with the caliced mouth. Its just a really thin layer of dead tissue. But still not going to be picking up that flavour again. Thanks for the information!
