Unoxidized ss mesh?

I just watched a youtube video from Todd ecigreviews about an unoxidized ss mesh wick. What's your take on this? Is it necessary to oxidize your mesh? What do you think? Any suggestions, comments.

I dont oxidize. I flash my mesh prior to rolling and use the pulse method (which oxidezes just the upper part of the wick where the coil is)

I found the flavor is better and my juice doesnt turn a different color and....it saves some time

I would give your mesh one good burn before using it. It burns of any oils and whatever got on the mesh from manufacturing till it reached you. The whole x times burning, glowing, dipping in water etc procedure, I skip as well. Don't have the patience...
