Will these work on the Vamo? They're unprotected. Thanks!

Bateria Celda Recargable 3.7volt 2200mah 18650 - $ 36,99 en MercadoLibre

I don't read Spanish, but most IMR or ni-mn batteries come in red packaging. Blue batteries (like the ones in your link) generally indicate ni-mh. You do not want to use unprotected ni-mh batteries. I wouldn't buy them unless you are sure they are IMR/li-mh (LiMn2O4).

Battery casing color has no meaning. Samsung uses pink, Panasonic uses grey, Desay uses blue ... etc etc.

I use Desay ICR18650s with no issues. (They're high drain)

Nono, that's Argentine pesos, exchange rate about 5 pesos=1 dollar. About 8 dollars each battery. I'm searching for high drain here.

Where did you find the 5 amp info on the Desay? Been looking for that info.

Luckily the vamo won't fire above 5 amps and I never really come close to hitting those kinda amps anywhoo.
It doesn't work that way. A single battery in a boosted configuration would need to put out considerably more amps than what is read at the atty, especially as the battery drains it will have to provide high and higher amps to maintain a consistent/regulated output. There is also the efficiency loss that any regulated assembly has.
