I prefer parallel. that way I can switch between my parallel box and single tubes without rebuilding. (don't normally build very low)

that being said, sometimes I love to throw a huge build onto my series mod and make my wife mad. lol. dual 12 wrap 24 AWG kanthal with a 3 mm ID should come out to .5-.6 ohms.

if you're gonna do both, go for parallel first...more "versatility" imo.

but you gotta show us pictures when you're done!

:)

I planned on doing just as you said, going with the parallel first. I could do what you did and build a box in parallel first then run my tube mod in series. I mostly use SS for building my coils. I don't care for Kanthal at all. I just get a cleaner flavor with SS but I'm not getting as Hugh resistance as I would like. I do have some Ni80 that I use every once in a while.

I know what you mean making the wife mad. We have a spare room that I have a desk in for my "vape station". I mix my own juices so I have all my wire in a box and all my flavors in a box where I can mis or build at the desk so needless to say that room gets a bit foggy. I get it when she comes home cause the spare room and kitchen are foggy and it's working it's way into the living room lmbo.

I will def post pics when I'm done building it. tanks for the info!

I like a hard hitting, warm to hot vape with dense clouds and good flavor. That's why I thought Series would be good for me. I did research on cells a while back and I had read numerous times that the hardest hitting cell what the HB6 so I got a few of them to run in my AV tube mech. In my RX300 wight now I have a dual alien wrapped 7 times over a 4mm coming in at .19 running it at 220W. I could go higher in wattage if I wanted.

What kind of tank you you have on there in the last pic? I'm liking the looks of that. Not much of a tank person since I like wide open air flow (running the Mason with airflow wide open). I like it airy. Had the TFV8 and waiting on the TFV12 to come in the mail and hope it's not too restricted. The TFV8 was too restrictive so I got rid of it to a friend who was just getting into vaping.
Thanks for the info Anthony! I know I do want to build a series and then a parallel mech so I can have one of each but I have a feeling there is going to be a few of these box mod builds in my future!

The tfv12 has a ton of air. Probably 4 times as much as the tfv8. It's the only thing I close air on.

The one in the vid and last pic is an ijoy combo. Really good rdta. Those style are very airy. It's an rda with a tank on the bottom. I brought the postless deck seperate

Hb6 are great. 30 amp batts can build low but battery life is short.

I do mostly fancy wire builds in mine.

That's for my tfv8 rba I put on my pwm mod

That's a .6 for my vcp (series mech)

I did a .4 for my series mech but it was hotter then I like personally

I do miss my original 521 Tab! I had one and it wouldn't for the life of me read the correct resistance and it would jump around so I contacted coil master (don't get in a hurry cause their customer service suck a*#! The finally sent me out a 521 mini tab (it's nice but I want my original back). They aren't making the original any longer so I can't get one of those in replacement. The replacement mini tab I got didn't even stay on long enough to check resistance. As soon as you would turn it on it would go off. Something up in the wiring and I didn't want to tear it apart to fix it so I contacted them again and sent them a video of the issue and they sent me a new one. Just got it yesterday from China. They wouldn't even reimburse me beings that original tab was about $35ish and the mini tab is $20. I'm never buying coil master products ever again!!!!!!!

Yeah I looked at reviews on the V12 before I preordered it. I ordered the triple coil listless rebuildable deck for it too. Just waiting on it to come in (been a month and haven't received any emails responding to my last 2 emails so I may be chalking it up as a loss (vapesourcing::dot::com). I like the looks of that IJoy. I'll have to look up reviews on that. I'm not a big fan of ya is (I run RDA's primarily. Thanks for the info Anthony!

I watch reviews on anything that I'm interested in buying and I have to say I'm liking the IJoy RDTA. I like that it has the option to run it in tank mode or RDA mode and they have a crap load of RDA options! I'm def getting me one of these!

That's good to know. You scared me a bit lol. .3 is pushing a bit too. It'd say .34 for series mechs. I build mine around. 5-.6 for a vape I like

And the .34 is with vtc5a batts

Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
And it should be taken into account that batteries deteriorate with age and use, so with older vtc5a that .34Ω would be pushing it (and definitely no safety margins).

I ordered the IJoy combo this morning. I watched a bunch of reviews and said I need to get that. Which listless deck do you have? I was looking at them and I like the IMC-7 but I'm leaning more towards the IMC-9 because it have 4 wick slots instead of 2. Less chance of getting dry hits because of too much wicking material in the slots with just the 2 wicking slots.

Also, do you have a link to the V12 review? Now you need to review the combo.

Yeah combo is on my list to do for sure. I'm using the imc-7 postless deck. More air and build room. I like the 2 it comes with which is velocity and lynx style.

Here is my tfv12 review
