Unreliable atomisors... WHAT'S WRONG???

In less than a month i have had 4 atomisors conk out after just 6-8 days. i've been vaping on and off since november last year and never had this problem. i used to use the titan 510 and i've now switched to a tornado since may 22nd. has anyone else noticed this problem?

i can't return the atty's because 3 of the 4 are from a multipack and one from the starter kit. i'm now on my last atty (from the starter kit) until my next order arrives tomorrow (ordered today with next day delivery).

i've only ordered 1 multipack of 5, so i hope to god they get me through till next payday.

I'm glad it's not just me... have you noticed that there is no deterioration in vapour quality? and that you can take a vape, go for a second and then... NOTHING???

I had this problem with:

2 generic DSE-801's
Njoy NPro
Blucigs

all of which were automatic. They would stay on longer than a manual, sometimes sticking. (pressure switches tend to stick after use in all applications) Then they'd overheat, then they'd refuse to come back on until they cooled off. Really frustrating.

My friend's Janty dura-c doesnt seem to ever have this problem, nor did my Janty stick a while back.

Currently Using and suggest the eGo:
I have a 2 Janty manual batteries and 2 Joye atty's, 2 Joye manual batts. All parts seem to interchange perfectly and atty's working great so far. *knock on wood*

had the janty atomizer fry completely which is being replaced under warranty. The other atomizers I got seem to work better than the Janty ever did from the start (possibly it was defective at start). They produce lots of vapor and have been 100% reliable so far.

Just sharing my opinion: DSE-801's are complete and total crap. I'm not sure why people like these on here so much. It took all freakin day to chartge the batteries, the vapor production was low, and the atomizers wouldn't burn all the ejuice sometimes (ejuice to the mouth ew), frequently overheated and shut off - I really dont know why people praise them on ECF so much

yeah, my other atty's are completely dead. i do vape a hell of a lot. i recon i go though about 3ml of fluid a day. i vape more often than when i smoked ciggies, but often it's only 4 or 5 drags then i put it down for a while.

i am however noticing a rather strange problem with my standard battery. i only have one left because i dropped the other one on the floor when i was in town, so have a standard battery and a MEGA battery. the MEGA battery works fine, but the standard battery will just stop powering the atty, so i have to unscrew it and then screw it back in and it works fine. until i put it down and then it stops working again so i have to repeat the process... :-s

My wife was doing the same thing. She went through 3 atty's in the first week of vaping. I figured out she wasn't juicing the cart enough. As soon as the vapor tastes a little different, go ahead and add a little more juice. She's been on the same atty for over a week now! Yeaaah!

This is fantastic advice. I believe I fried my atty by trying to stretch the carts out as long as I could; big mistake!

i thought that too... 510 atty's seem to be quite juice hungry so i regularly top up the carts. i seldom top up my cart and then put juice on the atty because i don't want to flood it. although this atty is the last one i have and it's been going for about 24 hours now so it looks promising.

what model is your wife using?

I've never had one die prematurely like that, but I have had some that need thorough cleaning after a few days. Liquid has a lot to do with it, and the darker colored ones seem to clog the atty's faster.

at the moment i'm just using the TW m/boro liquid, which is darker than the watermelon i used to vape. maybe that could be it?!

i only ever seem to clean my atty when i'm in the pub and when the liquid comes out it's extremely dark. much darker than the fluid i use anyway...

unfortunately people see me blowing through the atomiser and think i'm snorting coke. It looks dodgy but i'm sure if i went to the toilet to do it i'd be in a lot more trouble than just doing it by the bar lol
