Unrestricted vaping in hospital

My wife was admitted to hospital on Wednesday so I have spent many hours there, vaping everywhere, reception; wards; restaurant, discreetly but not trying to hide it. No one challenged me. She took a bad turn last night and was transferred to ICU, where I found myself demonstrating my e-cig to a very interested Sister in charge.

eta, when my father was at md anderson,( he passed there) I spent a month by his beside..

My father while on oxygen mask, vaped when he could manage..he would pull his oxygen mask to the side, and take a quick vape and smile as he was getting his nic relief..

I vaped in his room, all thru out the hospital..no one said anything to me, nor to my father rest his soul..

infact, the nurses and doctors wanted info on my ecig so i gave them biz cards and explained how they worked etc.

I stand in awe of her courage and strength, having suffered greatly over the last decade or so but fighting through every challenge, including an episode of multi-organ failure costing 3 weeks in ICU, 3 months in hospital and 2 months in rehab. I would have given up such a battle years ago. I wouldn't normally be worried about the current incident where she was suddenly hit by a pain of screaming intensity, except that half a dozen doctors and every type of scan known to man, from X-ray to MRI, have failed to produce a definitive diagnosis and prognosis. We need a Dr House.
