Alright i set up my rsst with 400 ss 3/4 wrap with 32 ga wire cane in at 1.8 ohms and comparing it to my base line of kanger t3 or pt2 ive got very little vapor and considerably less flavor what can i do to get up to or past the proformance of the bcc Im used to. Top cap is drilled out just a little (not all the way through with a tapered 1/16 drillbit)

With that RTA, I'd look at doing a microcoil (12 tight wraps of 28 gauge, 1/16th in diameter) with cotton wick. Just search that in YouTube to find plenty of instructional vids - it's no harder than your current setup. Best... vapor... ever (and flavor).

Alternatively, if subohm is what you're after, I'd do a 2-3 wrap of 28 gauge kanthal around SS cable with an ecowool sleeve over the end (where the wire wraps around). I've never had hot legs, hot spots or shorts with this setup and on an RSST it throws the vapor plenty.

I've never really had as satisfying a vape off of mesh.

Also, I'm assuming you're already doing the basics, like air hole orientation and volt/watt adjustment (assuming your mod allows for the latter).

BTW: You should, of course, be fully knowledgeable about subohm vaping before trying it - very bad things can happen.

I'd recommend to keep trying with mesh. For me it gives the best flavor by far. How much power are you supplying the coil? Mesh works as a heat sink. I find that it takes more power to heat up and get working properly than silica or cotton does. I've got my RSST set up right now with 400 mesh and a 4/3 wrap of 26 gauge kanthal. Comes out to about .5 ohms. It's a bit of a juice hog but vapes incredibly well.
