Ive been analog free for 10 days and counting. I began vaping and never touched my tobacco since. I started with an eGo CE4 kit, then got an EVOD for the eGo and never looked at my CE4s again.I made the jump to VV because I thought "I love vaping, so this can only get better from here" by getting a Vamo v2 SS and ordered a VapeOnly BCC Mega to go with it.Well, I filled the VapeOnly with Bobas Bounty, gave it 10 mins to soak up and once the 18350 charged, I stuck it all together, went to 7w to be safe and took some hits......BLAH. Burnt taste that just kept going and going. That taste never happened to my EVODs on the eGo and even new CE4s would taste better after a few hits.Well, I've read around to remove one of the wicks from the VapeOnly BCC to make it all better. So I tried it and let it soak some more....While waiting, I popped my EVOD onto the Vano (using a 510-eGo adapter to avoid the mess risk of taking it off the vamos ego threads, as read about on this site)Same 7w setting, the evod OWNED with the vamo. It was great. But the look is all wrong, the EVOD is too skinny for the Vamo.So now I throw the VapeOnly BCC Mega (minus 1 wick) back on the Vamo, 7w still, same juice, BETTER but not great. Taste is not as burnt but still faint, the vapor amount is small compared to the EVOD.What gives guys??? Is the VapeOnly a dud? Because the reviews are great. I'm not an impulse buyer. Should a smaller, less expensive EVOD really perform that great in comparison? It it embarrassing the VapeOnly.Advise? Opinions?Extra Info - Vapeonly BBCC Mega with 2.2 ohm (tested stock and minus a wick)Kanger EVOD with 1.8 ohm (stock, never removed wicks)Vamo V2 Stainless Steel with single 18350 battery, RMS mode at 7wAVE Juice - Boba's Bounty 18mg

I don't have one but watched a review. I was kinda curious where the air holes were at it seems it's on the bottom. Try backing it out just a bit until you get some air. That should help some. It looks like since the Vamo is so flat top that it may block air.
About the burnt taste, I don't know. I didn't really like how the coil doesn't screw and just pushes in. That may be part of it, or it may not have anything at all to do with it but I'd make sure it's seated well.
I know the evod looks kind of small on a Vamo but I like it anyway.

Possibly fixed this. I grabbed another 2.2 head, removed a wick, presoaked the remaining wicks with 4 drops of juice, let it soak I'm the tank for 10 mins, gave it a few primer puffs without heat and started at a low wattage (4) before I worked my way back up to 6.5. No burnt taste and the vapor is better but not great, but flavor still lacks to that of the EVOD. Maybe it will continue to get better?

Still continuing to slowly improve, but I think it's potential is close reached in my combination of juice and vamo. Anything above 7-7.5 watts bring back the burnt taste somewhat and the vapor has improved significantly, yet with most bottom coils as I hear, it's chilled. Whenever I throw the evod back on, there is an obvious burst in more flavor and better vapor also. I don't know why or how, but it just that way. Maybe if I ran a 1.8 ohm head in the VapeOnly BCC like the Kanger EVOD has in it, it may improve, but that makes no sense because the entire point of VV is to be able to fine tune your final wattage right?

So after 2mls worth of Bobas Bounty....I think it's a decent clearomizer and I will continue to use it away from home for the convenience of holding 2ml more juice than the EVOD......but at home with all my supplies handy. I will just keep refilling "the little EVOD that could"

FIXED. I simply removed a second wick. Total wick removal from stock/original = 2

No burning taste at all, even while chain vaping at 7watts (afraid to go higher because this is satisfying). Taste has definitely improved. The ONLY thing that the EVOD has over the BCC now is the lack of airflow but the improvements otherwise have made this a really nice tank. The pro/con of airflow vs. juice capacity have made this a close second place to my EVOD now. I do not regret my purchase. Will check back in if there are any leak issues with the lack of wicking, but so far so good.

I will try that on mine and also drill out the air hole or some other way of improving airflow. Thanks...

I agree with this method, when I rebuild mine with cotton I always leave the top strands out. At first when I was putting the top strands on I was not getting proper wicking and a burnt taste. After removing them all is well. Much better flavor.

are you in rms mode? hold down the + button for 10 seconds and make sure its on no2 not no1

In RMS (mode 2) Everything is peachy now. The top 2 wicks just really don't agree with this tank. The same setup even works great with me egos now...when I'm charging my vamo batteries. Extra batteries on the way.

I wish I know about the vamo MANY $$$$$ ago. I would have been much better off. I now have 3 disappointing egos that equal the price of 1 extra vamo I could have, lol

I got three Ego Spinners and two eGo Twist. I just got an eVic and love it. I got tanks and juices tweaked and modified around the Spinner and Twist. So now I got six devices going with different juices and tanks. What the hell, maybe I should start smoking again.

This is more addicting as a hobby than cigarettes!

PS: There should be a prize awarded to anyone that can get the USB cover plug back into the eVic!

LMAO! Sooooo true. I have to wait a LONG time before all my new toys earn their money back versus the price of my analogs.

I'm a gadget nut anyways so I can't resist having the newest or coolest. I'm already jonesing for a kanger protank, sadly I cant find one anywhere.

Me like gadgets too! I simply rationalize it by telling myself its still much cheaper and healthier than analogs, but I purposely haven't added up all my purchases, my ticker might not take it!
Next is an Innokin iClear30 tank and maybe a Kanger Pro and then maybe i'll stop for awhile. Maybe.

I have to stay away from my bookmarks, I'm constantly waiting for Vape Mail. Since I started vaping a couple of weeks ago I budgeted part of my tax return and now that I have enough equipment, I figured it would be all about the juice. Todays Vapemail had all the diy supplies to try making my own. It is an addictive hobby but I havent touched an analog so thats how I justify it. In time, like all vapers, i'm sure they iron it all out and only buy whats needed. At least i'm hoping thats the case for me but it's still fun to tinker.

diy juice is the way to go if you want to save lots and in my case at least, I like them better than most commercial juices I tried. I vape mostly tobacco flavours.

That's so cool because I'm also waiting on my iclear 30 to come in. I got a viv nova in today and I'm very disappointed in it after I tweaked the VapeOnly BCC. The build qualities are night and day. I feel bad for ever saying it sucked.

I've made the VapeOnly BCC my all day juice tank for Bobas Bounty and my 2 Kanger EVODs now rotate my boredom flavors when I need a break from Bobas. I currently have Buttery Nipple from VapeDudes and Christies Cappuccino from AVE. I've gotta say.....they are all great flavors. I Highly Recommend

Classic case of to "to each his own". I like the stock Vivi Nova way better than the stock VapeOnly. I removed one wick from the VapeOnly as suggested for some minor improvement. I really think the VapeOnly needs more air flow. Can someone point me to where I can get Cobalt micro drills bits, like 1/32 or 0.7938 mm?
Buttery Nipple? gotta try that! :p Maybe the e-liquid too! Hope I don't offend anyone.

PS: Igo-l and Vision Eternity still my goto attys.
