I MUST be turning into a vaper because even though my cig-alike is working pretty well for me, I'm looking around at all the toys discussed on this forum and feeling the lure of the Next Big Thing. I figure many of you have walked this path already so perhaps I could save myself some trouble and expense by asking before I buy another PV. I've recently suffered a substantial cut in my income so any purchase I make must be economical and carefully considered; I don't have a wad of cash to blow on a big setup but 30 to 50 bucks to take my vaping to the next level? Yeah, I could probably manage that.

So here's my deal: I'm currently using a Halo G6 and if I could maintain some compability with that in terms of cartos, tanks and chargers, that'd be great, but I'm not married to that idea. The G6 would still make a fine secondary even if I go to another system as my primary. So where would you go from here? I suppose a Triton is a natural upgrade but perhaps you have other suggestions. Thanks!

Honestly, I'd stick with what you have and set aside that 50 a month until you can get one of the big mods, like a Provari. You will thank yourself in the long run. Yes the outlay for a Provari is high, but the cost after that is very low, batteries last a long time - days with the best ones, you can adjust it to any juice, and it takes ego and 510 connections and, you can get an ego thread adapter for it so, that pretty much leaves it open to anything you might want to try in the future.

I know, I was unsure and was thinking "Ouch, I'm an idiot, spending half my tax refund on a provari." but once I got it and vaped it "Wow, money well spent, worth every penny and, let me get another one ASAP."

I don't see any reason not to just make the jump to a basic vv rig first. My next move is a vamo but it's hardly a bad thing to have 2 vv batts as backups first. Especially when you want something light in the pocket.

I love my itaste 3.0. I picked it up for $32.99. I also have a smoketek 1100mah winder that I got for $20. You could get either one, 2 evods (or any decent tank), and a pack of replacement coils for less than $50. You can get a lot of mileage out of one of these rigs and it's a massive upgrade from a cigalike.

My wife used her cigalikes for a while but she would use my winder sometimes and started seeing the difference. Then once I got the itaste she really started getting hooked. So I bought her one too and she's thrilled. It's her goto.

A couple of key things about the itaste that seem worth the extra $13 is the mini-usb charging slot. You can use it while charging at the same time. Can't do that with most twists/winders/spinners. It also has variable wattage. This makes it easier to tune your preferred vape when switching different ohm heads.

Nothing wrong with the vamo route either but do your homework. If you do buy one first then your only backup or option on the go is a cigalike.

About 2 months into vaping I decided to jump over the junk and get a provari. I have not regretted it for one second. It is totally woth the investment. Now I get to explore everything else knowing that my PVD is the industry standard. I have other egos and a mechanical mod just for fun. My provari is as important to me as my iPhone and just as reliable.

The G6 kits use 808 connections, so to be able to still use what you have and stay within your vaping budget, the best thing to do is pick yourself up a few Triton batteries... make one the Triton Twist, so you can tes the waters on variable voltage, and then get a smaller regular one for a back-up, to stay within your budget.

The Triton batteries can use your G6 cartos and mini-tanks, and the Triton tanks are affordable as well (and work well).

If you just want a decent upgrade to a 510 device, grab an itaste VV V3 kit (which includes iclear16s), or the MVP with includes iclears as well. Ivape has the MVP for $55 with coupon code, and MOV has the itaste VV V3 full kit for $59.99 Use your G6 as back-up.

upgrade to vv mods...look for the not so expensive stuff...if you cant afford it, save. my first upgrade was a sigelei zmax.it's the perfect mod and its cheap.then you can slowly buy batteries, good quality charger(very important)...well i guess im starting to go off topic here but get the best deal of what you can afford.research first...i suggest you look for a kit coz it already has the battery and charger...not great quality stuff but great for beginners.cheers and good luck!

I watched a video review of the Itaste V3 (I forget what tank he was using with it) and the guy was getting INSANE clouds of vapor, like a human smoke machine. Damn! The features look great but the fiddly display/controls would probably drive me nuts. Then again, I suppose once you're dialed in, you wouldn't need to mess with them much.

I wish the Triton Twist battery were a little cheaper because that would be a great way to try out VV without changing out my whole system. But at 30 bucks (plus the cost of a charger, plus shipping), it's not much less than it would cost to buy a V3 kit as mentioned above.

I am pretty happy with the G6 (except for the short life of the batteries, but that's an inherent limitation of their small size) so I don't need to upgrade NOW, but it's good to have an idea of what my next step might be. Thanks!
