Tryin to get input on what might be the best way to upgrade my 510. I am rather new to this and I want to get a drip tip and maybe a lr 306. I only have a starter kit and i have read that I cant add a lr306 to my 510 w/o a stronger battery. when looking online the batteries they recommend look like standard batteries and I was wondering if I had to buy a complete new kit or could I incorporate it into what I already have? Thanks

if you buy a Riva 510 kit for 30.00 US. (using ECF discount code) from liberty flights you will get 2 large batteries, and 2 new atomizers (not LR but they are 2.2 ohm so still pretty low though).. And these batteries will be fine with LR atomizers. They use the same threading as standard 510's, so you can interchange the parts with your exisiting device.

510 drip tips will work on standard 510 or the Riva.

Other option is to buy the longer 280mah 510 batteries, but they are only just about good enough for LR vaping really.

There lots of other battery mods out there. Ego, Riva is a popular choice, but there is some that question using LR's on them. I've never used one, so I can't comment on that personally. But I've read plenty of debate on the subject. The great thing about other battery mods is that if the battery does crap out on you, you simply replace it. I've gotten a year out of a 14500 lol. They hit good, are smaller mods, and accept Lr's with no problems. If you are interested, I'll list the ones I've used, and what I thought of them.

thanks to both responses. At the risk of sounding stupid, when looking at batteries incl the 14500, the pic shows just a battery. Is the batterty on a 510 servicable and do you have to make other mods to use it w a drip tip and LR atty?

You need a mod box for those batteries. You can't replace batteries inside the 510 / ego / riva battery cases (well not easily anyway i dont think?).. If thats what you mean?

PS any 510 drip tip will work on any 510 atomizer.

510 batteries are throw away once they quit holding a charge. You can buy mods that are already threaded, or come with a 510 adapter. Is this the info your looking for lol? Kinda confused by your post. Some companies sell everything you need when buying a mod. PureSmoker.com - USA Electronic Cigarettes & USA Made eLiquid!!! is one of them just to give you an idea.

I wanted to purchase a LR306 for my 510. then I read that the battery would not work w it so i looked for the recommended batteries for that atty. the pic shown was that of just a battery so I was confused on what i had to purchase to make the LR fit my 510. I might just try a drip tip first and then move up if I felt the need. I ve only been doin this for 3 weeks so im stiil pretty ignorant on ecigs. But that is 3 weeks w/o tobacco

I understood your question... That's why i suggested you get the Riva 510 starter kit. its not much more expensive than buying a couple of the higher power 280mah 510 batteries...

the riva batteries are 750mah, and will last you most of the day without a recharge. will work great on LR atomizers.

That's the thing though. If they want the exact same thing as what they have, just a longer lasting battery, then the ego riva is gonna be fine. If they want more, then they need a battery mod of at least 800 900 mah to get what they are looking for with an LR atty.
