So I am vaping on the itaste vv3. I want to upgrade to a better mod. I would like one with more power and the ability to sub ohm in case i want to get into that. Im look for something in the price range of 75 to 125$. I was just wondering what would be the best way forward? I am down for a box mod, but i am really looking for something that is quality and has good power. i am also thinking about building coils any help with that would be very appreciated as well.

I would recommend you look into the Sigelei 100W (PLUS) Box Mod. It's a great box mod for people just venturing into those power levels. As for coil builds and such, I would search YouTube for some tutorials. I find RIPTrippers tutorials extremely helpful. Also try searching for a video specific tutorial for whatever RBA/RTA you're planning on using. I'm sure others will chime in here too.

Welp there are a couple of ways to go.
You can go box mod and get all the protection from various issues you may or may not have.
You can go mechanical mods which have no protection and your builds will dictate how the experience is.
Or you can go unregulated box with is same as mechanical mod but in a box.
It's like Democrats and Republicans. So I'm not go the whole one is better. Personally I like both and own both. A good cheap box is the cloudpour dna 30. Goes up to 30 watts. For mech mods well just look around and find one that suits you. Look in to both and let us know which rout you go and we can better help you from there.

While rip tripper has some good videos I would go to the shop on a build night. To get the hands on help you may need. Also keep in mind while a Sigelei is nice you will also have to factor in the stuff you need to build the coils and batteries and charger if you need the charger and you will still need a rba or rda.
You have a good budget but it all adds up quickly.

I just got the Joyetech eGrip with the RBA base. super small 20watt mod with a 1500mah battery and built-in 3.5mil glass tank, add in the RBA base and it is a beast. Fairly new so some people do have some issue but overall it’s getting great feedback. I’m still tinkering with mine but so far so good. it’s $70 and the RBA base is $12, but i see some deals going around.

30 watts is not enough if you want to build on RDA's. Sure it will fire the Kayfuns and other stuff

Lighning Vapes has one of the best chargers on the market the efest luc v2 and v4 use discount code LV20 It is also a great place for Kanthal. Plus they have free shipping. And they carry the Samsung 25r batteries. They also list Sony's but I have never bought one from them so cannot confirm authenticity. But I did purchase a Samsung from there.

Efest LUC V4 LCD & USB Charger | Lightning Vapes

Honestly SIgelei 100 watt is a great purchase. look around I have seen them as low as 79. You can also get them from eciggity.com for about 100 and then use reddit10 discount code. Free shipping from them and it is pretty quick for me on the west coast.

With a Sigelei you are looking at about 175-200

charger $17
Batteries $25 for 2 sets
Mod $90
Kanthal and rayon or cotton = $20
RDA or Lemo = $35
total = $187

You can save a little money buying one set of batteries to start so minus 12 and cheaping on the cotton and kanthal you can easily get that to about $10. And if you are really on a budget you can pick from the various clone RDA's for about 20 on eciggity with the discount code it would run about 16ish

so cheap route = -35 for a total of 152 or close

Edit - eciggity has the 100w no screw holes for 89 so minus 10% knocks another $9 off of that. But I would pay the extra 10 for the floating pin.

Let me correct that for you... A 30 watt is perfectly fine for rda's.

What do you think people were using prior to the 40, 50, 100, 150 watt mods? Oh I know yeah it was 30 watt mods among others. I also run rda's on a 30 watt. And before you say anything I also own a v2 hexohm so I'm not just some dna 30 fanboy. Now is the hexohm better for rda's sure you get more out of it. But the point is dna30 mods are just fine for rda's. There is a time and a place to be objective and this is it.

For his price range a 30 watt will work fine and not eat up his whole budget like a hexohm or Sigelei. Smh at some of the folks on here....

Perfectly fine and perform well are two different things. Make one purchase and throw in an extra 30 saves money in the long run. I have 2 dna 30 clones at home. Side by side there is no comparison. Will it fire an RDA yep. Will it do it well. no! And before that they were using Mechs and low ohms to hit the higher ranges. not dna30's.

I am all about quality and performance and the dna 30 just doesn't compare to the sigelei in useable range nor battery life. Just because I have a differing opinion than yours doesn't make you right nor me wrong. It just means we have different opinions. Lighten up a little. And you can just chalk it up as an internet forum win for you man.

From someone newer to vaping who has run the whole range of devices recently sigelei 100 is awesome.

I never claimed that a 30 watt would be the same as the 100 watt it's clearly not. However on his budget the box you are suggesting is out the price range unless he wants to either spend more to get everything he needs or only get 1/2 of what he needs to vape. A 30 watt or similar will better fit his budget.

If it makes you feel better you win I'm not gonna argue over this. He stated his buget. If he said money was not an issue I would not have mentioned the 30 watt and told him to go for the hexohm or others. That is the point you are clearly missing. So op buy the mod that fits your budget but save enough to also buy all the stuff you need to actually build on said device.

If I were you I'd just keep it simple, there is a lot of hype and personal opinions floating through every where and on every subject out there. Just do your research and think about what you want to tote around with you daily. lol. Factors I'd use to filter your many many choices would be: size, style, functionality, safety, capacity, quality, setup and take down times. In the end what works the best is something you like enough to take care of. I started off with an old school k103 and now use a groove2 and a dual coil rsst. Eventually i'll get an annoyingly large mech mod but for now im very happy with my choices because I filtered what I like, want and wasn't worried about getting more then I need. Hope your hunt ends with you smiling at a big box-o-vapemail.:toast:

I appreciate all the input i got some money for xmas so my budget has increased I'm at about 200 now so i have been looking into the sigelei 100w plus bec why not play the extra 10$ from the 50w v2 to the 100w plus. The only benefit i can see with the 50w is the smaller size. Now i was just wondering about batteries i know to be sure to get legit ones and also to pair them as well i am really just wondering about a good site to get them from? again i really appreciate the feed back i am very impressed with the dedication of the ecf community.

So i have been thinking and I am going to wait to purchase a new mod. I ordered a RDA yesterday and i think i will work with that till i get proficient at building coils and then move up to a new mod. Also I'm trying to get my lady in to vaping so i think once she commits to that i will have a good reason to upgrade my mod. I do really appreciate the support that everyone has given me in my questions. I do think that when i do upgrade i will go with a 50w mod bec i do feel that will be enough for me at least to start. Thanks again
