I have no problems with the Kanger single coils. No dry hits, no gurgling. However, I have added the air control base to all my Mini PT's and PT's. And sometimes I take a primer hit or two if I sense I am not getting enough eliquid to the coils.

Do you dry burn your coils? That really does make a difference in performance with the single coils.

The closest thing I have that I can compare to the Aspire Nautilus is my Kanger Aerotank Mega tank. I was very impressed with the flavor and vapor production from my Kanger. I like to vape max VG but had to cut my mix to a 70"vg"/30"pg" so I could get the coils to last longer than a day on my Kanger. So 10 days ago I bought an Aspire Nautilus tank that came with BDC's. They burned out within days also. I bought a 5 pack of 1.8 ohm BVC coils 6 days ago and I am still using the first one I put in with 1,374 super long 10 second puffs as of writing this. Once I put these BVC's in the Nautilus I was blown away at how clean the flavor is. They put out the cleanest purest most satisfying vapor I have experienced from any commercial prepackaged atomizers on the market. Blows away my Kanger Aerotank and the Nautilus BDC's hands down. I just can't put into words how good these coils actually are. I would choose the Nautilus tank system with the "Bottom Vertical Coils" hands down over any other preassembled tank with plug and play atomizers currently on the market. Sure wish I would have bought it before my Kanger Aerotank Mega.
