Hey all,

I'm currently using a Kanger Protank with a couple generic EVOD style 900 mAh with led hit counter batteries (unknown voltage). As I posted a few days ago I'm finding that the Kanger coil units are tasting burnt far faster in the last month or so. I'm a little fed up with replacing the coil every 3-5 days at this point and considering moving up to a VV/VW mod and RTA. From looking at the market I think I want to get the eleaf Lemo RTA and something like a ipv Mini regulated mod. No clue on battery yet, but I'll talk with the guys at my local vape shop to get a bit more info on those, unless somebody can recommend one. I'm on a bit of a budget currently so I will probably buy things in phases. What do you recommend I get first? The vv/vw mod, or the RTA?

If you have the money, I'd say an Atlantis RTA would be nice. It's hassle-free, takes BVC coils, holds mad juice, and has very good (and adjustable) airflow for a tank.
To power it, I'd say a vamo, a device with a dna30 or dna50 chip, or honestly anything between 30 and 50 watts should power it sufficiently.
Otherwise, I'm not to knowledgeable on tanks.

PS. Ooooh the lemo drop is on sale at eciggity right now.

I'm a big fan of rebuilding, and the Lemo, but understand you're also really heading into a real learning curve. I also agree about the iStick 30W, as with it's improved regulation it can handle your older tanks too.

Instead of the Lemo, I'd suggest looking at the subtank mini. It has both an RTA module similar to the Lemo, and the coils it comes with are easily rebuildable -- and may even be easier to get right than the tank module. And if you are tearing your hair out getting things right, you can always swap in a new coil while you work it out.

istick 30w for about 32 to 35 bucks. Joyetech Delta ll for about the same or an eleaf Melo for about $20 ( don't think they are meant for rebuilds) Lemo is fine, too

At that price i need to buy me a couple thats a great price, The istick 30 here locally is $55 I paid $45 for the istick20
with my istick20 and the protank3 or the giant Im still going through coils every 5-7 days

Thanks for the suggestions all. The Lemo Drop is also a good option as I really don't need 5 mL of tank volume. I hadn't considered anything like the iStick, but am now. They have an internal non-interchangable battery, correct?
Yep, but it should last a year or even more. Good choice, be sure you get the 30

Not trying to discourage upgrading, but there's a possibility your coils are running a bit hot and toasty. With a controllable battery you could test that theory ... anyway with EVODs I like the 2.2 ohm Kanger coils the best, another coil winding compared to the 1.8's and matches better to most batteries. The generic coils are usually higher resistances too, but they concentrate the heat more.

The Aspire BVC type clearos, and Kanger dual coils (EVOD 2, PT3) can put out more vapor than the single coil EVODs although I don't like the flavor as much. Almost anything else you'll need a better battery, although with a rebuildable you could do a higher resistance build, say with #30 wire.
