US Customs Confiscate?

Not at all Di. He was placing a large order and wanted to know what would happen if US customs confiscated it.

I assume he took the post previous to yours as a recommendation to email eastmall direct, rather than ask in the forum.

EXACTLY!!!! Didn't want to draw any attention from the "guys" since I already had it happen once before!

Trust me it happens. When I had it sent to my office there was no problem as the company I worked for was a freight forwarder. But when I had it sent to my house, guess somewhere down the line it took a wrong turn and back to customs. I don't work anymore so I have to have it sent to my house, hope it won't be a repeat of previous shipment!

Oooooh, that would be a major bummer! I've had 8 orders shipped and never a problem. One or two orders took the long way around but still got to me never the less. They have never been opened or held a shipment in customs. I think this is more the norm than not.



absolutely,

we do not normally have any prblems with customs,

we have shipping delays for many and varied reasons,

bur rarely customs problems...........

and yes, that would be a major bummer! :( :(

Yep Canada customs rejected my order first time out of about 15 orders, you can see my nightmare below. I had Eastmall drop the juice from my order and reship the hardware hopefully it makes it through. It really ...... me off in how long it took them to handle this they had my order for almost a month before returning to Eastmall.

Yes, I am now experiencing similar problems in South Africa. My previous package was lost and this one (which is a resend of lost Package) is currently sitting at customs SA. They requested a receipt of payment for EM yesterday. I have been ordering from EM since Oct 2009 and this is the 1st time I have had any problems whatsoever. Keep your fingers crossed-will keep you updated.

Di, something i read on the bottom of your shipping info that kind of scares me

"In the unlikely event that your package is destroyed by customs rather than returned to us, the loss shall be at the customers expense."

Is there any way you can start providing us shipping insurance to cover that possibility?

I spent $125 yesterday, and if some ..... in custom's messes my order up, im out completely? That's VERY scary, since there is nothing i can do until it is in my hands.

At the bottom it says "We hope you find these conditions fair" This is the only thing i find to be unfair, so if you can offer an option to the customers in the shipping to add insurance, that could cover this ENTIRE portion.

Relax Chris41279. Take a deep breath. This applies to certain countries that are not the US. We all got the heebie-jeebies with our first order. The first was the post-payday glitch. Then reading something. Then there will be the hold-up in customs. There are periods when packages are delayed due to holidays or package inspection weeks. Sometimes a month went by before delivery. This is none of those times. Delivery is now in the order of one week. You will have to sign for it. You will be cared for by Di. You will be amazed with what you ordered. Just like all of Eastmall customers, Rick will take care of any problems. And of course, this forum.
