Wait, what? You placed an order for vape gear from the UK and it was seized in the US? May I ask what was in your order?

It was some 510 attys, batteries and eliquid. Back in those days its was common for this to happen. This was preventing US venders from staring up. I remember totallywicked and madvapes having large seizures. It wasn't until later in the year before they started allowing regular shipments in.

The only thing that has ever been confiscated was a few cubans and that''s because I gave the wrong bag to Customs which was one dude standing at a podium type thing. He asked if I had anything I shouldn't. I said nope and he said let me see one of those bags. He sifted through pulled out the cubans and asked what they were. I told him and he said nope not allowed. I asked if I could go outside and smoke one.. he said "sure, right next to the jet fuel." In the trash the went. He never searched the other bag. This was 20 years ago.

As far as the TSA goes, mods are just another electronic device that goes in the bin that does not have your laptop in it. Ejuice is just another liquid that is supposed to be in 90ml or less containers, all of which must be stuffed into a 1 quart plastic bag.

I did once have a letter opener that I brought back from Spain confiscated. Pre 9/11 even. At least they didn't get the Serrano ham...

Back when I was evil, I was trying to extort the US government out of a lot of money. I purchased a Quantum Magnetron Flux Focusing Oscillator on the black market (because as you know, a Quantum Death Ray is useless without a Quantum Magnetron Flux Focusing Oscillator). I tried to bring it back in my carry on luggage. The customs agent asked me what it was and I told him it was a part for a toaster. He didn't buy it and confiscated it. In retrospect, I should have scrapped the radiation warning stickers off it before trying to bring it into the country. After that, I gave up being evil and turned the Quantum Death Ray into a combination economical heater for the pool and hot tub/outdoor grill that cooks a complete turkey in 6 minutes.

my last envelope from fasttech got held up by customs;
the only thing unusual that time was the terminator squonker; maybe the name terminator and the two-gun icon on the box set off some alarm bells.

i had to take time off from work and hire a cab to go to the airport and back, just to meet a customs agent and answer questions about the stuff; he asked me alot of questions, including whether the items were perfumery, so maybe that had something to do with it.

haven't ordered from fasttech since, partly because i don't want to have to go through all that again

All yer devices r belong to me!! ;)

You know the whole "All your bases are belong to us" meme originated from a guy named Bad_CRC at a forum I used to post on years back? It was a forum called tribalwar for this game Starsiege tribes....we NEVER expected it to reach every corner of the US, LOL. I actually posted early on in that thread where he made the flash animation for it. Oh, to be a small part of internet history =D

The only person I could *EVER* imagine trying to confiscate my mods would be A) My job, since we aren't allowed to vape inside (even though I work over night with no customers and only 5 people in a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE warehouse), and B) the TSA at an airport. Considering I'd rather quit my job then give them my device (plus I don't vape inside anyway), and I don't fly, I don't think I'll have a problem anytime soon :D
