Aye.. Just nipped into the captain's for an oily, had a pony while I was there, adjusted me titfer in the mirror, and spotted a luvveryly sort on the way out giving her bristols the once-over. Came down the apples to go and have a ruby, jumped into the jam jar, and realised me trouble wasn't ready.

So, back into the rub for another pint and a gypsy's before we went out. O'course, that meant I couldn't drive, so onto the blackhead and pus it was....

Think MaryKay and Grandma Cas had some Cockney translating websites.

Starlight and Scyllabub were responsible for finding these I think:

Try WhooHoo for "translating" different Enlgish accents in text. Quite funny!whoohoo.co.uk - The British Dialect Translator
If you really want, you can learn Cockney Rhyming Slang Welcome to the Cockney Rhyming Slang pages!
and translate into Cockney Rhyming Slang.Translate English to Cockney Rhyming slang

You seem to be well up on the rhyming for a Macam ;)

Apparently, we Mackems have our own rhyming slang - or so I'm informed by emigrees from North of the hallowed water.

Or maybe we're just an imitative lot, or find ourselves in need of conversation with southerners, and have had to adopt their patois in order to be understood. I could, should denizens of these environs so desire, converse in Mackem (or, as it's known locally, "pitmatic"), but, I'd posit, would be almost completely unable to be understood.

But, the knaas, thes nee way ahwanna dee that, like, else thell nivver gerraward o warramonaboot. Mind, how, ah cin dee it if the wants. wadsthereckon?
