I am seriously wondering when people are going to notice that everyone against Ecigs and I do mean everyone. Including the "NON profit" Organizations make money because people DON'T quit.
Questions they should be asking.
What happens to all the jobs in that Non profit organization if all smokers quit? How are those jobs paid for if there is no one smoking to convince to stop? Who is paying the NON profit to get smokers to stop, Is it the private people, or is it a big company? If it is a big company what company, If it is big Pharma how do they profit from you quitting, They claim that it's because they care about your health, but lets look at common
sense here.
A person/Group who is obviously a firm believer in the desire to be rich, is willing to help you quit smoking and therefore not need to buy the Meds they sell, costing them more money and the ability to pay for the people who work for them, as well as the profits that go into the pockets of their execs? This neither is realistic or makes any damn
sense So what would be the underlying reason. Quote from an old Movie. "Greed is good, Greed is your best friend, greed is what makes the world go round."
They already make money from smokers, as they get sick, which they will do. They have to pay for meds everything from inhalers for lung disorders to pills for high blood pressure. But that would not be enough to fill their greed, So now how can we maximize the money we get, Smokers we are already tapping them. But there are two groups out there we can still tap and here is how we will do it. First we will go after the ones who think smoking is bad, and want it to stop, this can be anyone. This type of person is formed when a relative/loved one dies of a smoking related disorder. It doesn't matter they could have died 1000 other ways, it doesn't matter that Life is a death sentence that begins at birth, everyone who lives will and must eventually die. It doesn't matter because human beings have to blame something or someone, Humans through out time refuse to admit that life is fleeting, and have to have someone to blame for their loss, because blaming just the fact they lived so they must die at some point is neither fulfilling, nor does it aid in giving a focusing point for their grief and rage.
So we will target them, buy creating non profit organizations or fund them, these will put up a show of wanting people to stop and will take donations from people and from us, but we will only pay part of their fees. Now why does this make sense?
They can then from their income and profits do the experiments and tests, we need to prove or disprove our products, the people donating to these places, will unknowingly be allowing our company to make more of a profit, as we do not need to pay out the great amount of money for testing, but instead a smaller part donation to the non profit organizational fund. Therefore leaving the difference as pure profit for us. Now to hide the connection this organization will be required to come up with idea on how to stop people from smoking, so that they can use a sales pitch to get people to donate. BUT these will be mostly ineffectual, only out right banning would do any good, and this would simply cause a Black market to form, or we will need to have laws made that prevent the out right banning. The latter is the better idea as a black market would be to hard to control and would allow small pour people to have an ability to deal and make money.
We will allow regulation from the government as with all regulation it will be expensive, but that amount will be easy for us to soak up, when you compare it to the small people who seek to become our competition, The cost is the same for us the big company and the small company, size doesn't matter. and this will aid us in making a profit because we will be able to limit the competition we are offered.
Welcome to the wonderful world of Cigarettes as a business. This can be applied to big tobacco in the exact same way, the government it's a bit different, as they make money from the taxes on the smokes, from the companies that make the smokes, taxes on the meds, from the companies who make and sell the meds , and they make money from all the licenses of all the non profit organizations, never mind the tens of thousands of other companies, everything from printers who make the fliers for and against smoking, and the advertisement banners. Cigarettes have just gone from a multi million dollar profit Making device to a multi billion dollar making device.
So is it really any wonder that something that can threaten any part of that, (and Ecigs if proven as safe as we know they are can and will do) would be fought against? Safer product less meds, less sale of actual smokes, less taxes from all involved, less sick people, less doctors needed, less need for people to fight against them. We are David, and they are Goliath, and the Ecig well that's our slingshot.
But we did forget that final group didn't we? The group of people who smoke and want to quit, So we will make and sell NRT's, But we do not want to advertise them as ours, because it would be obvious there si something seriously wrong, So we will do that through the non profit organizations, that way it seems they are doing a great job, but in reality we control it all.
