Hi,
I just ordered the CE2 from you via Paypal. Order #21768. When I checked out with Paypal, it said that there would be a currency exchange fee and your address as in the UK. My invoice shows US. I used the US website. Can you help me fix this or cancel order and tell me how to not have that happen with a new order? I'm in Glendale... not all that far from San Diego where I thought you were located.

I'm looking forward to receiving and trying the M4 CE2 and your flavors (alas, you were out of stock on most flavorings I wanted - hope you are getting more in).

Also, I ordered a needle, since you are out of stock on the refill kit. Will what I ordered work? (I have syringes).

Thank you!

They are a UK Based company but if you ordered from the us site it will ship from there san diego location! I'm not sure on the Paypal currency exchange fee other than they probably use the UK site because Paypal won't allow us businesses to use them for E cig stuff! If it were just cents I wouldn't sweat it to much as they are a good supplier and alot cheaper than most which would probably offset it!
Hope you enjoy your goodies!

Thanks, Abe. I used my credit card with Paypal. Have never seen that before... but the Liberty address in Paypal showed as a UK address, invoice shows San Diego. As Hrtbrkr noted, it's probably only a few cents, anyway (I did the calc, less than 50 cents - so not going to worry about it). Can't wait to try the new CE2, and the chocolate I orderd, though! I loathe refilling these M4 carts. P.S. I just checked my Paypal account. Looks like the payment completed and all is peachy. Really odd Paypal thingie - at least others can see it's not likely to be an issue, if they ever get a similar message on check out. :)
Hi, you can try loading up your paypal account with the funds, it should then use the balance. I have never heard of it showing a conversion because we get the money in dollars, it would mean they convert dollars in to pounds then pounds back to dollars then back to pounds when we draw it out...!

Me neither. Weird, huh? It's a Paypal thing, my guess.

I use the paypal link to pay as well - BUT, I think we traced it down in another thread to how we're all using PayPal - and the types of accounts we have them "linked" to, and/or maybe the BANK that its tied to might have more to do with it. Mine doesn't end up in charges, but someone else I think had mentioned in a previous thread, that Chase did. All very confusing, for sure, but maybe also to do with whether it's a checking vs credit card that is primary on the paypal account.

I'm just thankful right now, that mine doesn't cost that "review rebate" per order ;) Man, I'm behind on my reviews too! I best do some before my next order!!!

I placed 3 orders in December and was charged a conversion fee every time. I used my debit/credit card each time. It only totaled about $6 or $7 over 3 orders, so I didn't investigate it.

I have been in touch with my credit card company regarding this matter and the charges against my card are being paid to someone in Great Britain. The currency exchange charges are being assessed for that reason. In my case I am not aware of these extra charges until I see my bill, there is no option to refuse these extra charges as I place the order.

Here's and update... so far: FIRST, Applause that Liberty shows my order was shipped (and that's same-day service - my order was placed around 4:00 AM). So nice, guys! Thanks! :)
Being the curious sort I am, I went on my Amex page and they show 2 charges as "pending" with Paypal noted "Paypal Mark" with an Amex explanation that I did cut to paste, but unless PayPal/Amex charges me for currency conversion, I won't mess with. Also, I'm not here to complain - it's just odd and if there is a way NOT to have that happen, with ordering from Liberty, then that would be good for everyone. Let's face it, Liberty is NOT getting this extra money. It's going to Paypal and/or the bank.

I have always looked at the $2.99 Shipping Fee and the 49cent review credit as an off-set for the Foreign Transaction fee.

I think it is great that Liberty Flights ships your entire order via Priority Mail for just $2.99 PLUS give you the option of a 49cent credit every time you review a product.

This is a win-win for me.

:toast:

In the end, there is NO issue. I contacted both my credit card company (Amex) AND Paypal. There were no charges for currency exchange. I can't say why anyone else who posted on this thread may have been charged for currency exchange, if they have been. (It would have been a very small price, even so). I can only say that I double checked that I was on the U.S. site and NOT the UK site.

Liberty is a great supplier, with good pricing, warranties, products and customer service. Lightening fast shipping, too! Consider this thread as simply a "note" that you might get a funny pop-up when you check out.

Thank you to all who have added info on this thread, particularly member, PKJ and Supplier, ABE. oxoxoxo's
