Not sure what "pin" , unless you mean negative contact? It has a 12( volt ) fuse for protection. I dont know what else you could replace it with. Sorry

Maybe someone can jump in that knows the type of switch better.

Now you have me wondering if maybe you mean the C-clip? it comes off really easy with small jewelers curved pliers. I just place the tips on each side and gently spread. Its better than those clip pliers because they usually deform the clip.
