OK, I've sampled more.... Java Junction and Beach Bum are quite good (the Col. and No7 still beat them). I think DBCherry has some real potential. And I'm still getting my head around Stogie and Gunslinger (reminding me a bit of Aces&8's I have up on swap)..... So, in that context I'm pondering more about the diffs between CoolCarts and WOW carts.... My first tests are with WOWs, and I'm trying to decide whether to give them a second chance on coolcarts.

What is it that cool carts would do that WOWs wont for DBCherry, Gunslinger and Stogie? tone down the flavors? bring out more subtleties? I'm finding an essence of leather in Gunslinger that is quite attractive, if I can get past some other aspects I cannot identify. Stogie is an enigma: sometimes very true cigar, sometimes flavored pipe-tobacco drugstore cigar.

And did any of you get much improvement on Cherry, Gunslinger and Stogie after a steep?

Trying to decide whether to invest any more in them, or just move on (put them up for sale/trade).

I plan to try JavaJunction and BeachBum in coolcarts, and wonder what you guys think I should expect there too.

Well taste is VERY subjective, and all my friends that smoke menthol, tend to like my Smilin, but no other menthol flavor I have had.

So no one can answer if a cool or wow cart will taste better with each flavor, but from what I have seen, the WOWcart burns higher then the Cool, so it gives more flavor in general. Just like using the Passthru VS a battery. There is more voltage with the WOWcart or amps, I forgot, but it is higher then the cools..

I personally prefer CC"s over WOW's

I can't speak for the others, but Gunslinger has me baffled - in a good way. There's something in there that I describe as "aromatic" but other than that I've got no idea what it is. I haven't vaped any that's been steeped yet as it hasn't lasted that long, but I do have one bottle that I got this past Monday that I'm letting sit for two weeks. I'll see what happens.

Oh - and I like the WOW's just because they are a little hotter.

The usa line doesn't fall under the old steeping rules Krazie sir. The ones from china get plenty of time to steep on their trip over here....

Plarkinjr sir this is something that really can't be answered. Cool carts bring out the most flavor on any juice, but that doesn't mean that it will bring out the best of certain juices. The wow cartos will bring the more dominant flavors more to the forefront which again can be a good or bad thing. Using the usual psa of taste is subjective will go into my experience with gunslinger. On a cool carto I get the pipe tobacco followed heavily by chewing tobacco with a slight sweet hit on the end. Using the same juice on a wow carto brings the pipe tobacco to the main stage with the chewing tobacco flavor becoming that last note on the end. I prefer the pipe tobacco taste, so only use it on the wow cartos. The juice lost some of it's complexity, but it was a good thing in this case to me. Someone else if they taste exactly what I do may prefer the chewing tobacco taste with the sweet note on the end. They would only use it on a cool cart... Hope this helps.

Thanks all. I'll give them a steep (just in case) and try gunslinger and stogie in cool carts before I reach a final verdict. On the other hand, both are quite low in my current ranking of about 3 dozen flavors, so I'm inclined to just cut my losses. But, experimentation is fun so I'll give it a go.

I generally favor the WOW carts because of the big flavor, vapor and heat, but Virgnia is in a coolcart, and its got plenty of flavor and vapor... its in my top-5.

p.s. I guess I should add a line to my sig: "I realize taste is subjective..." ;)

OMG! Gunslinger in a CoolCart, with 24hrs "air steep" is quite nice! It might just make it into my top-10! It is still objectionable in WOW cart to me. Double Berry Cherry is nicer in Coolcart to, but in WOW its tolerable. Will have to see about Stogie later today. I know Beachbum is good in Wow, wonder if its even better in Coolcart too.... may have to get more Coolcart blanks!

p.s. I believe the is the first time I've ever used "OMG" for real.

ETA: same with Stogie: vastly improved with brief steep and coolcart.

Lisa all the flavor's from V4L are steeped, they steep them at the V4L place before they sell them, I saw Chad I think post it, if not it was Mark saying that there is no need for steeping, since they do it for you.

EDIT; Sorry if that came off snobby, I did not mean it to ^.^

Kudos for being consistent!

"SD... I have always been in the steeping is a myth camp. But now I'm starting to come around a bit. When we first got the Colonel Caramel I cracked open a fresh bottle and I didn't really care for it. I thought it was completely different than the flavor that we approved. I gave the bottle a hearty shake, put it in a cool dark place overnight, came back the next morning and the taste had changed significantly." Dohsma

What Mark had referred to in a previous post was the fact that neither the Wow or Premium lines from China needed steeping. Both of those lines are developed using a different process.

Aces&8's no longer up for swap. Why? couple weeks steep, tried in coolcart. It's now at the top of my 3-star list, just ahead of Double Barrel Cherry.

No7, ColCaramel and Java Junction beat them in WOWs (in that order) with 5 stars
behind them are Stogie, Gunslinger, & Beach Bum in Coolcarts with 4 stars
Jury still out on Jammin which is bland/mild in WOW (great for stealthing?) but may shine in coolcarts, once I try that. It's a 3-star so far.
