I really question sites that claim that their ejuice is made in the USA...and likewise England. Made here? Or ... more akin to "assembled" here?

I don't know of much they are allowed to manufacture in the US of China anymore. They make everything in plain old China...home of the Free to manufacture.

Also, one site I visited claimed domestic made product also had analysis results available on their website "per lot" - the testing was performed at an "outside lab". First of all, instrumentation has never been cheaper than it is today. If one actually had a manufacturing facility ... it would not be credible that they did not have onsite QA/QC. I say this because the cert of analysis on their site only listed 2 substances...i.e., only two were tested for. This would mean they would only have to invest in ONE instrument for their "onsite QA" . I just don't buy the "US made" claim.

I applaud QA efforts...don't get me wrong..even if it is limited to testing for TWO substances. I just think the it puts the efforts in question when other claims ... like country of origin ... are not very believable.

I would prefer to by USA made ejuice...but I wish I could KNOW it was made all US grown and made "raw materials".

I totally agree.

I am almost certain that Johnson Creek is totally homemade.
But others often mention Vermont Vapor and of course Intellicig (Ecopure) in the UK.

I am somewhat confident that Ecopure is made from scratch but haven't looked into it.

I do believe that many who claim to be making it in the USA are using some unflavored nicotine juice from China to start the process. But it is really hard to know for sure and I have yet to see any clear proof from anyone other than Johnson Creek, who specifically makes the claim on their website.

Using lots and outside labs sounds right to me. I'm sure they have some version of a QA/QC lab, and I'm sure any customer with two brain cells to rub together wouldn't trust it. An outside lab will be used to confirm quality because (theoretically) that lab will be independent. They could lie about results and keep one customer, but if they're caught, they're likely to lose all their customers. The downside risk is too large.

They have lots because not every mix will be exactly the same. They'll keep detailed records of where the raw materials came from that went into which lot. If it turns out that a 5 gal bucket of PG or VG was left out and a dog peed in it, they'll want to recall any lots that were mixed up with that material.

That said, we can't be there when they order it from China or mix it up themselves from PG, flavor, and nicotine they also manufactured themselves, so no one really knows. Welcome to the ...-end of the supply chain. Your food and medicine is manufactured the same way.
