I just bough some liquid from a site that claimed it was made in the US. After I received it, I realized that it was just china liquid re tagged.

How did you know? What would anyone else need to look out for?

I hate not knowing what is in it, and after reading the ingrediant list on this one (vanillian) I don't see how this is any better then just a reg analog. PLEASE HELP! I dont want to go back to smoking, it's already been too long. :) Thank you

Vanillin is what you get in vanilla flavourings (ALL vanilla flavourings including vanilla beans) and it's often added to other flavours. I'm not sure it's anything to worry about excessively although long term inhalation effects have not been studied as far as I'm aware, as with most flavourings. One to avoid though is butanedione/diacetyl. Analog smoke contains a lot more harmful chemicals than vanillin for sure.

This (from wikipedia) is an example of why it is not paranoia to avoid Chinese liquids:

"On May 4, 2007, the US Food and Drug Administration advised all US makers of medicines to test all batches of glycerine for the toxic diethylene glycol.[20] This follows an occurrence of 100 fatal poisonings in Panama resulting from a Chinese factory deliberately falsifying records in order to export the cheaper diethylene glycol as the more expensive glycerol.[21] Glycerine and diethylene glycol are similar in appearance, smell, and taste."

The last time a bunch of people dropped dead from DEG in U.S. manufactured glycerin was in 1937, and subsequent laws were passed to prevent it.

It's true that there is no guarantee that a U.S. manufacturer is using USP grade glycerine, but because of the increased production of ethanol (of which glycerine is a waste product), the cost of glycerine has decreased lately, and it is so readily available in the U.S., I would think there would be little incentive to use Chinese glycerine. On the other hand, I would think it would be highly unlikely that Chinese ejuice manufacturers making dirt cheap juice are forking over the extra expense to import USP grade glycerin.

Whether you DIY, or purchase American or Chinese mixed, you still run the risk of contaminated VG or PG in the nicotine base used, since it is all or mostly coming from overseas, but at least you don't run the risk of added poison when the nicotine base is further diluted with PG or VG during the mixing process.

Sure, the video shows a Chinese plant where strict safety and cleanliness protocols are followed, but that doesn't mean the techs in all their gear aren't adding tainted PG or VG to their juice in that state of the art cleanroom.

I'd trust a juice that was mixed with USP grade ingredients in someone's kitchen over chemicals of unknown and unverified origin mixed in a state of the art cleanroom in a country that has been responsible for so many poisonings worldwide over the past decade because of knowingly substituting cheaper ingredients to cut costs, specifically including one of the main ingredients in eliquid.

Just think of the heyday the FDA would have regarding ammunition to ban ecigs if a number of vapers in the U.S. dropped dead because of high levels of DEG in glycerin. It isn't going to make a lick of difference if the ejuice was mixed in the U.S. or China.

If China could be trusted, I'd gladly buy from them. It is a fact that Chinese products have been killing people and pets worldwide.
