Alright folks, keep me sane here.

When I put the auto battery in the usb charger (with cord) it turns red, then turns blue/red when it's done... right?

When I put the manual battery in the usb charger (with cord) it lights up solid blue, but I'm pretty sure it's charging, because it's not blinking at me any longer.

What are the lights supposed to do? (I consulted the instruction manual, but it didn't seem to know either, else I had too many Dos Equis tonight)

When fully charged or plugged in without a battery it's blue, when charging it is red. Mine turn blue/red at times, don't know why this is, but I just unscrew the batt and then screw it in again.

When the charger turns blue/red that means it is almost done charging. It should turn fully blue within a few minutes of that. If you have a batt that is not turning the charger red while charging try a different charger. They should all be red while charging, red/blue when almost finished, and blue when done. I do have one usb charger that never turns blue with a battery plugged in, but I am pretty sure that is because the charger has a fault.

Ok, a little more info... When I put the auto battery on the USB charger, the battery led flashes a few times, then the light turns red with a blue flash every few seconds. When I put the manual battery on the USB charger, the light stays blue, and no flashing happens.

I just put the Manual batt on the wall charger, and the battery led flashed, then the led turned red from green.

Do the USB chargers not recognize standard manual batts?

Just another data point: what you described for the auto battery is what happens when I charge my manual battery on the usb charger. The usb charger light is a solid blue when plugged in (it's so bright btw, that I often use it as a night light, LOL). It turns red when I put my manual battery in it and the manual battery flashes green several times then stops. While charging, the usb charger remains red but flashes blue every 5 seconds. When the battery gets close to being fully charged, the light on the usb charger turns a faint reddish-blue. It may flash back and forth between tat and all red for a while, but the closer it gets to a full charge, the reddish-blue has a lot more blue in it, but is is a light blue, and stays on (no more flashing back to red). When the battery is fully charged, the light on the usb charger turns a solid blue again, the same deep blue as when it is plugged in with no battery in it. This applies to both the V4L mini/cordless usb charger and the corded usb charger. So it sounds like your usb charger is acting as it should with your auto battery but not with your manual battery, suggesting that their may be a problem with your manual battery. HTH.
