Has anyone had problems with the USB Charger?

My V4L Auto Battery (Short) was working perfectly but out of power so I decided to try my new USB Charger.

1) I attached the USB Charger to my laptop. The LED on the charger went blue straight away.

2) I screw the Battery into the charger and the LED on the charger goes Red

3) With the LED red, about every five seconds the LED would quickly flash Blue.

4) After about 1.5 hours the LED was Blue 100% of the time, so I disconnect it and vape..... Nothing... :(

5) I attach the Battery to my PCC, the Battery charges for a minute, then the LED on the PCC goes out indicating that the Battery is fully charge, but still nothing.

Is my battery now faulty?

Is that how the USB Charger works? (i.e. flashed blue every few seconds, then 100% blue when fully charged)?

I now have two faulty V4L batteries, whereas my other branded Battery is still working perfectly.

I don't know what going on, any ideas?

Update:

I pulled on the Short Battery very hard and still no go.

I then blew some compressed air into the hole and pulled very hard again, the LED came on for a split second.

I kept on pulling very hard and it became better and better.

Now after 20 puffs it almost back to normal.

I am extremely careful not to get any juice inside the hole, so I don't know whats going on. Is this just the way they are?

I have another brand of e-cig and its been absolutely perfect since day one (four weeks, no problem at all). It takes absolutely no effort to drag on this e-cig (Its a Joye 306 mini fogger I think). Yet I have two KR808D-1's, one is being replaced, the other is playing up).

Anyone else experienced this kind of situation with the KR808D-1?

Oh wow! Similar thing happened to me! The usb charger must have wrecked all 4 batteries I have since I charged all of them with it. I got 2 dead batteries when I left home ( I mostly use a passthrough at home). Then another 1 died when I tried it & the last one died after the battery ran dry:confused:. Now, the blue light on the charger is always on when I try to charge an apparently dead battery. Same thing even with a wall charger. I know all the batteries are dead for sure because there is NO blinking light(Isn't that usual?). Now I vape with the passthrough at home & have a few analogs(EWwWwW) while out.

Fortunately, I contact customer service & the personnel(Robert) that emailed me back replied that they will send me replacements. However, he did not include an explanation about why this happened in his reply though I asked. I wondered if the batch of batteries or the usb charger was faulty. Though disappointed with having to alternate vaping with analogs, I'm very satisfied with V4L's responsible customer service. Thanks V4L! :p

I have only used the USB charger for my V4L batteries, and never had a problem, I have bought 9 total, for myself, and family.

I buy the stuff as single parts, and not kits, and ONLY buy the USB chargers. They seem to work great for me and my family. Maybe you guys got yours out of a bad batch.

The batteries do sometimes have a hard draw, especially if you drop them, just suck real hard through them with a blank cart, or just with your mouth on the battery end, and it will help loosen them up.

I'm Battery-less! Help!! :p

The second battery that 'fixed itself' yesterday has now failed just like my other battery.

At first, the battery was totally dead, drawing through it did nothing.
Then suddenly I was at work at my desk and I heard a sizzling from my pocket, to my surprise the battery LED was on and boiling the cart. I quickly unscrewed the cart and now the LED is always on and it constantly gives out 4 volts :(

These batteries are only 2-3 weeks old as well. So now I have no working V4L batteries, not even a USB Passthrough.

I think something is seriously wrong with the sensors in these KR808D-1 Auto Batteries.
I wander if the KR808D-2 devices have a better sensor in them.
I dont think the USB Charger is the problem since I never used it on the first Battery that died. I only used the PCC to charge the first one.

At least I have my Joye Auto battery which is still running perfectly for 4 weeks now.

Perhaps V4L should consider switching to the Joye 306 Battery (or it could be a 4081 or 103 actually lol), they seem to be much more reliable (from my experience anyway).

I can't help you on the shorties (their on my wish list) but, I've personally found the manuals'(kings) button to NOT be faulty. (I also think it's helping me with the 'have to hold something like an analog' part of the addiction - I still miss that part of analogs but not having it also seems to help make it harder to give in to anything other than spending the 5 min to refill. It puts it right in front of me in a good way despite my new addiction to vaping!:vapor: :vapor::vapor:(haven't broken the hand thing though...yet cause I still initially find myself vaping nada, nothing, ziltch until I remember to press the button, lol! While it's not hands free, the button, itself, can be helpful. It also gives you more contol over the amount of vapor, as I was told b4 I ordered my kit(but just getting the hang of) - if that helps you at all w/trying or not trying the manuals? :vapor:

I also don't see how your USB would wreck your battery since the light on it when a battery is in it, is registering what the battery tell it, I think?

I'm glad you have something to vape with, while you resolve your batt giving you probs, though. Again, as far as the button, on the Kings anyway, no probs.

:toast:

Are the Manual Batteries much more reliable? Or do the switches have their own problems?

I may request a manual one to replace the faulty Auto.

Hi Wow,

If I didnt have the Joye, I'd hate to think that I would actually buy a pack of analogs, I'd rather go without anything for a day until I get a new batt (local Joye supplier ships in 2 days).

I'll take ur word on the Manuals, as long as no juice is exposed to the manual switch or excessive pressure applied, it should be fine.

As with any habit, it usually takes a week or two get get over it. Pressing a button to vape is not really a concern to me as long as I can vape and keep the nicotine enzymes happy lol :p

I've ordered a USB Vape and a 808cart-to-306batt Adapter just in case I run into bad batteries again.

Alot of people seem to like the manuals. I prefer them. I started w/ an auto from another unnamed co(off-line) that was junk (a 401 model) and liked it but didn't find it as helpful b4 realizing it was junk. If you don't mind having to press a button, you'll like the manuals as do many.

Good back up plan. I don't have a back-up plan except my wish list. (I was at 2pks/day so it's taking me a while to lose the hand thing. Last time I tried an analog, I threw up! yuck!) Never going back. despite the never-say-never - I feel better than I have in a long time vaping though as with anything new, there's bumps in the road, it beat throwing up!)

But seriously though, V4L should consider offering the Joye 306 (and compatible carts) as a luxury item, I can't fault it all all :) Drawing on the 306 is perfection, with no effort needed at all :)

Funny you mention throwing up when smoking an Analog, I almost did the same when I tried my friends 8mg ciggy as a test. Then you wander, how the heck did I even start smoking these things.

It's just disgusting to me now. We all must've had tummies "of steel" or something to tolerate it, let alone 'enjoy' it!

I really didn't expect anything to work when everything else failed. I was soooo surprised that I stopped the same day I got my kit and was a little back and forth, until I threw up. Had I not been so good at hiding it I now understand why some parents force a kid who smokes to smoke until they get sick. I'm sure my parents would have done that to help me but, it was too late by the time I was busted. I was too severely addicted for that way to help kids to be remotely kind (It would have taken me too long to get sick - Parents who catch a child within the 1st month and do that, I think a child would need less than a pk to never try another. Today, it'd be considered child abuse by some people and I don't condone doing that to a minor who can easily tolerate over 10 analogs/day but otherwise, I can see why it would work on kids just starting w/o risking a nic O.D.)

My parents did send me to a gazillion and 1/2 physicians trying everything else since finding V4L. I still have a pk of analogs at my place but seriously, it's such a harsh way of vomiting, I seriously doubt I'll ever try another one. Where I was keeping my analogs because I COULD NOT throw them out , everyday I can look at the pkg and resist trying them again, is helping me trust myself to not buy anymore I see in stores - I didn't quit on my fav analog and still feel a temptation to buy 'just my fav' + excuse after excuse that it was the brand that made me puke. It's helping me regain control that is working when I go out. I know when I don't need to work on that anymore, I could throw them away - easily. Was just so sick for hours after that last one & convinced there is a positive reason for it.

I don't know about how you and others who've been vaping a while feel about your first month vaping but, personally, the pace of changing such a bad habit, into vaping is nothing like I thought would happen vaping - really getting my life back, despite my slip up there. (I'm loving filling out forms that ask "Do you smoke" and being able to check the "no" box!)

Do you think "almost throwing up" was something helpful to you? I hope so! It seems the longer vaping, the more disgusting analogs are/the worse the consequence of 'testing' yourself will make you feel, so really hope the nausea was a 'pass' for you - from you're post it seems like it was enough poison & toxins  to keep you vaping!

If that wasn't enough ---- there's a "Jul4th" code for 18% off everything sale through the 6th! :)

Happy July 4th weekend!!

and thank-you, again, V4L staff!

The "almost throwing up" experience didn't help me personally since I was already used to vaping and totally non-dependent of Analogs.

I actually bought a pack of Analogs the same day my Vaporizer arrived, so I felt I needed to use up that pack of ciggies during the first week of vaping. That may have helped the process.

It worked well because there were times when I just had to have an Analog (usually late at night). It has been a month since vaping, and now even the smell of an Analog makes me sick. I haven't had the urge to smoke an Analog for a good two weeks.

Now 4 weeks later, vaping has totally replaced the need for Analogs, 100% :)

It just takes a bit of time to get used to a drastic change. But the good thing about vaping is that the sensation is almost identical to smoking Analogs, so it was extremely easy for me to switch to digitals (The first 5 hours of vaping I didn't touch an analog).
