The USB port on your laptop and PS3 both put out the same power: 5V @ 500 mA (that's half an Amp).

Here's what I said in another thread:

I've not had very much luck with the type of PT's that have an inline battery. They rely on a battery (that must be recharged) to provide the required amperage to operate the atomizer, that's why it works on a low-Amp device like a computer USB port or 0.5 Amp wall-adapter.

Here's my suggestion for a passthrough:

Get one without the inline battery, and a thick, heavy cord like this one, for example.

Power it with a wall to USB adapter that puts out 5V @ 2 Amps, like this one, for example.


You might be interested in reading the rest of the thread, as well.

If you have one with an inline battery and want to go with a higher-amp adapter to get actual 5 V vaping, you can easily remove the battery from most of them. It's just a matter of cutting the wire on each side of the battery-holder, twisting them together, and wrapping them with electrical tape.
