LOL... me too! I just use a small hand air pump. Found one similar to this at a .99 store.

The irony is, once you pack in smokes, you can breath deeper and regain some lung power anyways...so blowing out the atty isn't really that hard.

Don't ballons have a little dust in them also to keep them from getting stuck together in the heat of transportation, etc? Might be an ideal if I run out of air to blow into it, but until then I'll do it the cheapest way with my hot air .

Be careful of gloves, they often have a fine dusting inside to lubricate them

Remember that some balloons have this fine dusting too.

Pressure from the canned air aside a lot of them add "a bitterant to discourage inhalant abuse". Most have a warning on the side in red letters. I wont spray these on my keyboard much less into an atomizer. Great idea on the balloon.

nice idea constant airflow going through the addy, sounds like it will clean them a little more thorough, plus i wont feel like im going to pass out from cleaning my addy. i love it and im gonna give it a shot tonight.

I've been using a straw for the past week and it works great. Of course, it was absolute dumb luck that I have a pack of straws that fit my 401 atty's like a glove. With my recently smoke free lungs combined with the simplicity of the straw, I can get a 30 second stream of air going through it

isn't the 401 atty exposed? why use a straw anyway? I think it would be easier to safely blow out a 401?

I use the straw and blow from the battery side. Now, I am pretty new to this, so maybe I'm doin' it wrong. Is it just the exposed wick material that I should be trying to clear?

is it wrong to use a hair dryer after youve washed out the atty?

also i have a small air pump for filling up a plastic swimming pool that i use to blow out my PC maybe i can use that if the hair dryer is an issue

Nurse, the hair dryer is just a bit of a pain. If you wash out an atomizer with water, you can displace the water with EverClear Pure Grain Alcohol (PGA) if it available for sale in your State. Works great, dries quickly and you don't need to rinse it off since it evaporates away.

Otherwise, your little hand air pump should work great. I have one and use it to blow out atomizers once in a while.

The m401 atty has an exposed wick, but that's not the actual heating element- the nichrome coil is still encased, and it's not a bad idea to clear that out every now and then. I'd be careful to put clean e-liquid/pg/vg on it right away, however.
